Prado sentenced to 45 years in prison, with 25 years confinement and 20 years supervision for the Jones homicide.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Friday, Joseph Prado, 18, was sentenced to 45 years in prison, with 25 years confinement and 20 years supervision for the Easter Day 2025 homicide of Donell Jones, 17, in Milwaukee.
In March, Prado pleaded guilty in the criminal case to felony murder-armed robbery, he was sentenced on Friday to 35 years in prison with 20 years confinement and 15 years supervision, in addition, he was also sentenced to 10 years in prison with 5 years confinement and 5 years supervision for possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent juvenile. Both sentences to be served consecutively (separate).
The criminal complaint says, that Prado and a friend had left a party on Easter morning near W. Townsend Street and N. 23 Street when they saw another individual who his friend had issues with and they confronted him.
Prado decided to rob one of the individuals that they stopped and apparently fired his weapon after hearing gunshots. Jones was critically injured by gunfire and later died at a local hospital, and another 20-year-old victim was injured by gunfire and survived, according to police.
