Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, during a 90° degree heat wave, a ICE Out of Milwaukee rally was held at the Milwaukee County Kosciuszko Park and then anti-USICE protesters marched in the Southside of Milwaukee in Wisconsin. A surge of USICE abductions in the predominately Latino community has drawn concern in the community.

More than 39 individuals have been arrested by USICE since, June 25, 2026, according to USDHS. USDHS says that most of those individuals arrested by USICE have criminal records, but local immigrant rights groups says, that most of those abducted by USICE have no criminal record.

MAGA Gestapo USICE agents are known masked criminals, corrupt and conduct elicit immigration enforcement operations under the guise of lawful pretenses, which in many cases have proven to be illegal in federal court cases. The City of Milwaukee previously passed a no mask ordinance by USICE and its federal law enforcement partners while conducting immigration enforcement operations in the City. Mask violation penalty is between $5,000 and $10,000 in fines. Currently, the Milwaukee Police Department has failed to enforce the City law.

USICE agents hide their faces while engaging in elicit immigration enforcement under the guise of lawful activity so, people can't identify them. They also don't wear any identifying large visible numbers in their body armor and they usually don't identify themselves when doing traffic stops or carry any identification. Agents also drive vehicles without visible license plates, which is illegal in Wisconsin and neighboring states.

A U.S. Department of Homeland Security spokesperson has told TMJ4 News that the agency will not comply with Milwaukee's face mask ban, citing safety reasons.

"State and local sanctuary politicians attempting to ban our federal law enforcement from wearing masks is despicable and a flagrant attempt to endanger our officers. To be crystal clear: we will not abide by unconstitutional bans. The Supremacy Clause makes it clear that state and local sanctuary politicians do not control federal law enforcement," the DHS spokesperson said.

If USICE and USDHS are violating Constitutional law, then State laws take precedent.

USICE agents and its federal law enforcement partners should abide by national police standards of not wearing face masks while conducting immigration enforcement operations in public and should identify themselves as well.

The rally and march on Thursday was sponsored by Milwaukee Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression and allies.
