Havana, Cuba - At least 72% of the population in Cuban live in poverty and 21% live under the poverty level and forego breakfast, lunch and dinner due to a lack of earning an affordable living wage attributed to a large scale of unemployment in the Island, unless a person is working for the Cuban government and is a loyalist to the regime in political power.

Those living in poverty in Cuban receive a piece of bread for each individual in a household.

Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) received a leaked photo from Cuba showing the actual piece of bread, that each person receives from the Cuban regime, according to sources inside Cuba.

Cuban loyalists including government workers and military with the Cuban regime receive better supplies of food available to them. Also, those working in Cuban tourist attractions get better food and a sort of income.

A 2023 study by the Cuban Observatory of Human Rights (OCDH), estimated 88% of the population is living in extreme poverty. (Wikipedia)
