After A Two-year Run, El Conquistador Radio Show Ends Programming At La Z 93.7 FM In Milwaukee "Until Further Notice"

The sponsor of El Conquistador Spanish Radio programming announced the last show to air on Saturday, February 17.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Saturday, Victor Huyke, the Publisher and Editor in Chief of the weekly El Conquistador Latino Newspaper in Milwaukee announced that the weekly El Conquistador Radio program aired from La Z 93.7 FM will air its last radio program on Saturday, February 17, 2024 until further noticed. El Conquistador Radio show celebrated several weeks ago its 2-year Anniversary on the air, which aired 3 hours of programming on both Saturday and Sunday.

Huyke posted on his personal Facebook account, "Dear friends,
Saturday, February 17, will be our last show on the radio until further notice. 
I want to thank you all for your support and listening to our show. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed our time on the show. God bless you all. Thank you for listening."

The primary radio hosts included Victor Huyke "Conquistador", well known for his Spanglish dialect with a Puerto Rican accent, Leo Molina "El Guapachoso" and Daniel Sauceda "El Travieso" and on occassion Carmen Lerma "La Profesora", including guest appearances by Walter Garron "El Brown Beret".

One of El Conquistador Radio's popular weekly gigs was its give away of complimentary gifts (prizes), and cash for finding the secret word (palabra secreta) inside its weekly newspaper, which last January it reached up to $600 in cash and the totaled cash was awarded to Rubén Rogelio who found the secret word in the horoscope section and called in on Sunday, January 28, 2024 when his name was announced on the air and had 10 seconds to call in, which he did at the last second.
