Milwaukee, WI - On Wednesday, Sylvia Ortiz-Velez announced her candidacy to seek the 12th District seat in the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. In a press release, Ortiz-Velez stated, "I believe in representative leadership, I promise to do the right things for our community and to listen to all of your voices. I believe that public servants should be attentive to pressing issues that the 12th District faces on a daily basis. I humbly look forward to serving and representing you as your County Board Supervisor."
The Friends of Sylvia Ortiz-Velez says, that Ortiz-Velez is a long time residents of the Southside and "she really cares about her community and would be honored to represent the 12th District on the Milwaukee County Board. Mrs. Ortiz-Velez has a proven track record of effective leadership, in taking action for the betterment of her community, because it is the right thing to do. She is dedicated, hardworking and ready to continue her effective leadership on the Milwaukee County Board. Mrs. Ortiz-Velez has a degree in political science and has been a Real Estate Broker for 15 years."
Ortiz-Velez will be visiting Southside voters and knocking at doors in the 12th Supervisor District in the upcoming months, according to the Friends of Sylvia Ortiz-Velez.
