Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Lutecia Gonzalez Quintanilla, 80, a former federal EEOC administrative judge and attorney passed away on July 20th. Gonzalez, a well known attorney is survived by Ernesto Chacon and six children.

In 2000, Gonzalez an advocate for civil rights sued the Milwaukee Police Department after she was arrested by a police officer when she stopped to help translate for a person who was detained on S. Cesar E. Chavez Drive and W. National Ave. The person was involved in an impromptu Mexican Independence Parade displaying a Mexican flag. Gonzalez won the lawsuit against the Milwaukee police officer for using excessive force. The officer later discovered she was a federal administrative judge.

That same year, Gonzalez was honored with the UMOS Hispanic Woman of the Year.

Chacon was one of the leaders of the August 27, 1970 University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Chapman Hall Takeover that brought down the discriminatory barrier that kept Latinos from enrolling at the University, and worked as the Hispanic Liasion for former Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle (D).

Minors Under 18 Without A Parent Present Will Not Be Allowed At The 8th Annual Puerto Rican Family Festival 2021 In Milwaukee, According To Organizer

Morales, one of the 8th Annual Puerto Rican Family Festival 2021 organizers announced on Thursday that, if you are under the age of 18 and plan to attend this year's festival without a parent present, don't come because you will be escorted out of the Wilson Park event on Sunday by security.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Thursday, Yussef Morales, one of the organizers of the 8th Annual Puerto Rican (PR) Family Festival 2021 at Wilson Park in Milwaukee that is taking place on Sunday, August 1st announced that no unaccompanied minor under the age of 18 without a parent present would be allowed into the one-day festival. He advised any unaccompanied minor planning to attend the festival to stay away because they will be escorted out by security, police or Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputies.

Morales emphasize that it's a family festival and invited the public to attend. The one-day annual event was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The festival was previously held at Humboldt Park in Milwaukee, but this year it will be held at Wilson Park, 1600 block of W. Howard Ave., from 11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. and will have an early mass, also have three entertainment stages, a car show, food and merchandise vendors and will have COVID-19 vaccinations available by health workers for those who want to get vaccinated at this year's festival. 

In addition, there will be a dance contest, job fair, tostones eating contest (new this year), a domino tournament, education fair and health fair.

The annual PR family festival draws more than 15,000 festivalgoers, according to organizers.

The PR family festival is also sponsored by El Conquistador Newspaper and organized by the Puerto Rican Family Festival of Wisconsin volunteers.

Waukesha, Wisconsin - On Thursday, MAGA Waukesha County Sheriff Eric Severson announced that he won't remove nor suspend Waukesha County Sheriff Deputy Detective Joseph Mensah, 32, from duty pending the outcome of a homicide case connected to the murder of Jay Anderson Jr., 25, on June 2016 at the Wauwatosa Madison Park during an after-hours loitering violation.

Last Wednesday, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Glen H. Yamahiro found probable cause to criminally charge Mensah, a current Waukesha County Sheriff's deputy and former Wauwatosa police officer with a homicide charge for the Anderson murder in Wauwatosa.

Judge Yamahiro indicated that Mensah failed to deescalate the situation, didn't wait for backup, which was on the way and didn't used other options to avoid killing Anderson.

A special prosecutor will be assigned within the next 60 days to charge Mensah with a felony homicide charge.

According to the Milwaukee Police Department investigation, then Wauwatosa Police Officer Mensah went to Madison Park in regards to an after-hour loitering violation. Mensah who wasn't wearing a body video camera at the time claimed that Anderson reached for a handgun next to him and that he feared for his life and fired multiple shots striking Anderson five times in the head and another shot in the upper right shoulder. The police investigation result indicated that Mensah was justified in Anderson's homicide, according to the Milwaukee Police investigation report.

An independent investigation by former U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic who was hired by the Wauwatosa Police and Fire Commission in July 2020 indicated that Mensah would most likely offend again. Biskupic wrote in the report that Mensah should be fired and that the risk he might shoot a fourth person is to great.

Mensah was also declared justified in the shooting deaths of Alvin Cole, 17, on February 2, 2020 at the Mayfair Mall parking lot and Antonio Gonzales, 29, on July 2015 for wielding a decorative sword.

Bernie Gonzalez, President of the SOPHIA Board of Directors on Thursday released the following statement, 

"SOPHIA demands that, at the very least, Deputy Mensah be suspended from the Waukesha Sheriff's Department while these charges are proceeding. The hiring of Mensah originally sent a chilling message, especially to African-American residents of Waukesha County.  To keep him in the Sheriff's department, allowing him to wear a uniform and carry a firearm in our community would not just be tone deaf, but a gesture of contempt for people of color who live in our County or who pass by on our roadways."

Humboldt Park Murder Suspect Anthony Lorenzi Extradited To Chicago To Face A Homicide Charge In Connection With Giovani Arzuaga's Execution Style Homicide On June 19

Chicago, Illinois - On Tuesday, Anthony Lorenzi, 34, was extradited to Chicago from San Diego, California to face a homicide charge in connection with the June 19, 2021 execution style murder of Giovani (Gyovanny) Arzuaga, 24, at the 3200 block of W. Division St. near Humboldt Park.

Lorenzi was charged with one felony count for 1st-degree homicide, if convicted, Lorenzi is facing life in prison.

Lorenzi was placed into custody by Chicago police when he arrived at the O'Hara International Airport from San Diego, according to Chicago police.

Lorenzi had fled Chicago shortly after killing Arzuaga and a felony murder warrant was issued after tips led authorities to identify him as the murder suspect. The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Lorenzi in San Diego.

Arzuaga was fatally shot by Lorenzi when the victim attempted to protect his girlfriend Yasmin Nicole Perez, 25, who was pulled from the driver's side of the vehicle by multiple suspects and began to beat her. Arzuaga fired a shot from inside the vehicle and accidentally striking Perez in the neck, according to police. 

Arzuaga died shortly after getting shot in the head by Lorenzi and Perez died a few days later at a local hospital in Chicago.

Jose De Jesus Juarez Delgado, A Known Undocumented Construction Scammer Booked For Felony Fraud And Released On A $3K Signature Bail Bond In Waukesha County

Undocumented Juarez Delgado who allegedly committed felony fraud by using a previously dissolved construction LLC company in Wisconsin when he signed a contract to repair a private driveway in the City of Waukesha turned himself for booking identity process on Monday, according to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office.

Waukesha, Wisconsin - On Monday, Jose de Jesus Juarez Delgado, 33, turned himself for identity booking process at the Criminal Traffic Division (CTD) in Waukesha County to sign a $3,000 signature bail bond. Juarez Delgado was also ordered on July 26, 2021 during a virtual Zoom court hearing at 1:28p.m. (indicating he was in custody) not to use RJ Design and Construction, LLC, or any other company unless he has a legitimate license and insurance. An active warrant was vacated at the time of the virtual hearing. 

As of early afternoon, the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office jail inmate roster listed that Juarez Delgado was in jail for identity booking process, but was later released on a signature bond.

His current address hasn't been updated on the Waukesha County court records yet.

The Waukesha County District Attorney's Office filed a one felony count criminal charge on March 11, 2021 against Juarez Delgado for theft-movable property charges of at least $5,000. A felony warrant was issued including a $3,000 cash bail was set for Juarez Delgado on April 20, 2021. The suspect who is undocumented and doesn't have a valid driver's license (license previously suspended) was being sought by authorities.

If convicted on the felony count, Juarez Delgado is facing up to 3 years and six months in prison and up to $10,000 in fines. 

Which according to federal immigration laws (I.N.A. § 237), a felony conviction can be subject for deportation proceedings, if the suspect is illegally (undocumented) in the U.S. If a person is legally in the U.S.,  but not a U.S. Citizen and is convicted of a state or federal felony, depending on the seriousness of the criminal conviction can automatically lead to the revocation of a Green card and subject for deportation proceedings. Also, if a person with a Green card is convicted of a state misdemeanor and sentenced up to a year in jail, even if the sentence is stayed (suspended), the person is subject for Green card revocation regardless of how many years he/her has been residing in the U.S. and would be subject for deportation proceedings unless a judge sentenced the person less than a year, which will not subject the person to deportation or revocation of a Green card under federal immigration laws.

Juarez Delgado, a Mexican national is originally from Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Juarez Delgado allegedly scammed a local Waukesha resident, Bernie Gonzalez into signing a private driveway repair contract under DBA Construction Solutions, LLC, a company name that was previously dissolved in 2017 and no longer existed in the state. Gonzalez paid Juarez Delgado at least $4,000 to do the driveway repairs, which the suspect never did.

Juarez Delgado used DBA Construction Solutions, LLC (dissolved in September 16, 2017) and was also order by the court on May 17, not to use RJ Design and Construction, LLC as well. He is allegedly known to hire crew employees to do construction work, but never pays them and has committed other alleged similar scams.

On August 8, 2017, the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) filed a judgment against Juarez Delgado for $6,240.10 for not paying unemployment compensation for his workers.

On January 30, 2017, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue filed a tax warrant against Juarez Delgado for $14,639.84, which is still open. 

On October 29, 2014, the DWD also filed a judgment for $798.98, which still has an open penalty warrant against Juarez Delgado for workers compensation.

A virtual court hearing appearance for Juarez Delgado is scheduled for August 11, 2021 at 1:00p.m. in Waukesha.

The Waukesha County Sheriff's Office is the only law enforcement agency in the state that works under 287g as a partner with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to identify undocumented inmates that are processed at the jail, which Juarez Delgado's name will most likely be added to ICE's immigration enforcement list.

Trump has attempted to tweet to no avail it's "Fake News" that the Milwaukee Bucks actually won the NBA Championship in the state and claims that the Bucks stole the NBA Championship, according to an inside source from the Office of President Trump, which also displays a fake presidential seal from Lala Land.

Trump apparently suffers from COVID-19 side effects, which causes memory elapse and hallucinations.

Trump (R/MAGA) wakes up every morning believing that he is still president and that his rival, newly elect President Joe Biden (D) is still living in the basement. Biden won by more than 7M votes in November 2020.

Also, the Wisconsin Republican/MAGA controlled legislature is convening in a special session next week to create a non-partisan committee in an attempt to initiate a recount of the NBA final 6 game scores.

A leaked conference call between the Trump family and White nationalist patriots indicated a conspiracy plan to call on MAGAs to march on the NBA's building and change the final 6 scores.

WI Attorney Stephanie G. Rapkin's Hate Crime Enhancer Removed From Disorderly Conduct Charge By Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Glen H. Yamahiro

Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Yamahiro decided to remove the hate crime enhancer from a disorderly conduct misdemeanor charge against 65-year-old attorney Rapkin.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Glen H. Yamahiro accepted the defense attorney's motion to strike the hate crime enhancer from count 1 and amended the misdemeanor disorderly conduct criminal complaint, which removed a hate crime enhancer charge against attorney Stephanie G. Rapkin.

In June 2020, Rapkin, then 64, was charged with one felony count for battery to a law enforcement officer and one count for misdemeanor of disorderly conduct with an enhancer of a hate crime in connection with the June 6th incident where Rapkin was video recorded as she intentionally spat at a Black student during a protest in Shorewood. Rapkin had parked her vehicle in a manner to intentionally block a peaceful protest "No Justice, No Peace" seeking justice for George Floyd from Minneapolis and other victims of color murdered by police from Milwaukee.  The protest was stopped by Rapkin's vehicle and couldn't temporarily continue through and when she was asked by protesters to move her vehicle, she spat at the face of Eric Lucas, 16, an African-American student.

Rapkin was later taken into custody and the next day, Rapkin shoved another person after she confronted protesters in the front public sidewalk of her house for drawing messages with chalk. When police went to arrest Rapkin at her home, she struck a Shorewood police officer in the groin with her knee.

If convicted, Rapkin is facing up to 9 months in jail and up to $1,000 in fines for misdemeanor disorderly conduct, and she is facing up to 6 years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines for felony battery to a law enforcement officer. Rapkin will also be disbarred.

Rapkin has a motion hearing on August 23, 2021.

Milwaukee,  WI - Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett announced a plan to hold a Milwaukee Bucks NBA Championship parade in downtown Thursday, July 22, 2021 and those who plan to attend to wear facemasks to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Delta, which has been on the rise in the last two weeks. City employees will be allowed to attend the Bucks parade.

The Bucks parade will begin at 11:00a.m. at the intersection of E. Wisconsin Avenue and N. Prospect Avenue. The parade will then proceed west on E. Wisconsin Avenue before turning north onto N. Water Street. From there, the route will continue on N. Water Street to E. Knapp Street before ending on E. Knapp Street at the Milwaukee River.

What Barrett didn't mention was that the City of Milwaukee has more than 70,000 toxic freshwater lead laterals connected to homes and businesses. Barrett failed to advise the Bucks fans that they should bring their own bottled water to drink as a safety precaution and avoid drinking Milwaukee water from a faucet.

Public drinking water faucets and bubblers in the City of Milwaukee are not publicly label as lead free from toxic lead lateral connection to the City water mains.

The City of Milwaukee is apparently removing 1,000 toxic lead laterals per year and it would take more than 70 years to finally remove all of the lead laterals. 

With a lack of the Milwaukee Department of Health services for those suffering from lead poisoning and the lack of lead testing, it is nearly impossible to detect the actual lead poisoning of young children in the City and the lead poisoning of adult generations within our City.

Milwaukee residents test at least 3.5 times higher for lead than the national average.

On July 16, 2021, the Freshwater for Life Action Coalition (FLAC), Get The Lead Out (GTLO) including, Robert Miranda, a community activist, The Black Panthers, The Milwaukee Brown Berets and Yellow Panthers were in Madison to call on Josh Kaul, the Wisconsin Attorney General to release an update of the current criminal investigation against City officials and the Milwaukee Department of Health for a lack of accountability and not providing adequate health services for those poisoned by lead in the City including the troubled lead program operated by the Health Department.

Also, last week at the Public Safety & Health Committee confirmed that an independent auditor reported that the Milwaukee  Department of Health did not implement plans, protocols, policy changes to improve the health department, indicating that Mayor Barrett had continued to lied about the City's lead program.

Lead poisoning has been linked to high crimes in cities that continue to use toxic lead laterals.

According to a June 16, 2016 memorandum from Kate Pawasarat, Community Analytics Analyst for the City of Milwaukee Department of Administration Budget and Management Division, she reported the following information. 

There are approximately 74,600 properties with lead service lines in the City of Milwaukee.

• Based on property assessment class information, 91.5% of properties with lead service lines are residential.

• Approximately 68,300 residential properties or 54.2% of all residential properties in the City of Milwaukee have lead service lines.

For over twenty years Milwaukee has added a phosphorous compound to its drinking water. The compound coats pipes to control lead corrosion, but recent concerns regarding heavy construction around the city has brought to light that this protective phosphorous compound is being loosened by the pounding of machines breaking apart sidewalks and streets in which many of these toxic lead pipes are located.

The following Milwaukee Southside Aldermanic Districts are among seven with the most toxic lead laterals in homes.

• Aldermanic District 15 - Alderman Tony Zielinski, toxic lead laterals in district 6,089

• Aldermanic District 12 - Alderman José G. Pérez, toxic lead laterals in district 5,585

Mexican Fiesta 2021, billed as a family event in Milwaukee has canceled the performance of singer Joe Lopez, a convicted and registered child sexual assault offender who was among its Tejano music entertainment venue at Summerfest.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Entertainment organizers from the three-day Mexican Fiesta 2021 at Summerfest in late August in Milwaukee, announced in May that Joe Lopez y Grupo Mazz have been booked for the Fiesta this Summer, which is billed as a family event.

Mexican Fiesta is sponsored by the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation.

The Lopez performance was canceled shortly after Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) first reported it. But, Mexican Fiesta failed to publicly announce the cancelation at the time.

Lopez was convicted in 2006 for two felony counts of aggravated sexual assault (he was sentenced to 20-years on one count and 8-years in prison on the second count) and one felony count for indecent contact with a child age 13 (sentenced to 4-years in prison) and was sentenced to a total of 32 years in prison.

Lopez relaunched his Tejano singing career after being released on parole from a Texas prison after serving 11 years and 6-months from a 32-year sentenced and recently caused a community backlash in Fort Worth after it was announced that he was scheduled to perform at Billy Bob's Texas entertainment concert venue, which was afterwards canceled last week.

In Fort Worth, Texas: The Billy Bob's Texas announced on Social Media last Tuesday, July 13, 2021 that "The Joe Lopez y Grupo Mazz concert scheduled for September 18, 2021, has been canceled. Billy Bob's Texas remains committed to the citizens of Fort Worth and will continue to take the feedback and concerns of our community seriously."

The Tejano Nation dot net reported on Thursday that "concerns over the performance deal with Lopez, who is a convicted sex offender that was paroled in March 2018 after he served 12 years of his 20-year prison sentence for multiple sex offenses involving his 13-year-old niece in 2004. The 70-year-old singer has always maintained his innocence and is working towards exoneration."

Update: Hispanic News Network U.S.A. has learned on Monday, that Gregorio Montoto from the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation confirmed that the Joe Lopez y Grupo Mazz performance was canceled after learning Lopez's was a registered child sex offender. The Lopez performance was canceled about a month ago, but Mexican Fiesta failed to announce it earlier.

In Toledo, Ohio: Joe Lopez y Grupo MAZZ is scheduled to perform Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the 3-day Midwest Tejano y Mexicano Fest in Toledo, Ohio at the Stranahan Theater grounds. The 3-day outdoor festival in Toledo is scheduled for August 27-29, 2021, the same weekend as the projected 3-day Mexican Fiesta at the Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Also on Friday, August 27, 2021, Joe Lopez y Grupo Mazz is scheduled to perform at the Paris Banquet Hall in North Chicago, Illinois, according to Mario Roxx Garcia, an entertainment promoter who recently posted the dance performance on his Facebook account.

22-year-old Undocumented Mexican Immigrant Fernando Javier Huerta Moguel Who Crossed Into Laredo From Mexico Found Deceased In Texas Bordertown

The 22-year-old undocumented immigrant from Veracruz got sick along the underground human smuggling trail around Laredo due to the extreme hot weather and was left behind by an undocumented human smuggler known as El Pollero.

Laredo, Texas - On June 25, Fernando Javier Huerta Moguel, 22, aka, "El Jarocho" originally from Tetelcingo, in the municipality of Coscomatepec de Bravo in the State of Veracruz, Mexico was reported missing to family members by a human trafficking smuggler known as a Pollero. According to the unidentified Pollero, he called the family in Veracruz to inform them that Huerta Moguel had disappeared from the area where he was left behind after getting heat stroke and fainted due to the hot weather in the Texas Southern region along the Laredo U.S. border sector. The Pollero decided to leave him behind and continue with the group that he was smuggling into the U.S. and had told Huerta Moguel that he would return for him. The Pollero later returned for Huerta Moguel, but he was no longer at the same spot where he was left.

The family contacted the border patrol customs in both Mexico and the U.S. about Huerta Moguel being missing.

On July 9th, the family was contacted by authorities that his body was found in the Laredo border sector.

His extended family from Milwaukee, Wisconsin gathered on Saturday, July 17 to raise funds to transport his body back to Veracruz, according to a fundraising event post in Facebook.

Anthony Lorenzi Charged For The Homicide Of Gyovanny Arzuaga Near Humboldt Park In Chicago

Lorenzi was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in San Diego after he fled from Chicago.

Chicago, Illinois  - On Friday, the U.S. Marshals arrested Anthony Lorenzi, 34, in San Diego, according to Chicago police. Lorenzi was wanted in connection with the June 19th homicide of Gyovanny Arzuaga, 24, at the 3200 block of W. Division St. near Humboldt Park in Chicago. Lorenzi has been charged with one felony count for 1st-degree homicide, if convicted, Lorenzi is facing life in prison.

Yasmin Nicole Perez,  25, who was the driver of a vehicle that accidentally struck another vehicle was dragged out from the vehicle she was driving and was beaten by multiple suspects and then accidentally shot by Arzuaga, according to Chicago police. 

Chicago Police Chief of Detectives Brendan Deenihan confirmed that it is believed that Arzuaga discharged a .40 Cal. handgun that fatally struck Perez in the neck. Police recovered the handgun under Arzuaga's body at the crime scene. Forensic tests are being conducted to match the bullet that killed Perez with Arzuaga's handgun, but it strongly indicates that Arzuaga fired the fatal shot that killed Perez.

According to a City street camera video, Arzuaga got out of the vehicle and placed his body on top of Perez to protect her and he was shot multiple times in the back of the head execution style by Lorenzi who then fled the crime scene and ended up in California.

The attack on Perez and Arzuaga was video recorded by a City shot spotter video surveillance street camera.

Lorenzi is awaiting extradition to Illinois to face a murder charge.

17-year-old Jazareia Amonie Velasquez, A Walmart Supercenter Employee In Mount Pleasant Charged With Felony Battery Of A 70-year-old Woman

Velasquez was released on a 2,500 signature bond after being charged with one count of felony battery.

Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin - Jazareia Amonie Velasquez, 17, an employee from the Walmart Supercenter at the 3000 block of Oakes Rd. located in Mount Pleasant has been charged with one felony count for aggravated battery to an elderly and one misdemeanor count for disorderly conduct in connection with the July 7th battery of Pamela K. Shader, 70, at the Walmart store.

If convicted, Velasquez is facing up to 6-years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines for felony battery, and up to 90 days in jail and up to $1,000 in fines for the misdemeanor charge.

According to the criminal complaint, Shader and Velasquez got into a verbal argument at the cashier exit and Shader complained to the manager who was present in the area. Shader attempted to find out Velasquez name in order to file a complaint with corporate and while Shader attempted to take a photo of Velasquez, she repeatedly struck Shader in the face.

Mount Pleasant police responded to the scene and Velasquez was taken into custody.

Velasquez was released on a $2,500 signature bond and is expected in a Racine County court for a preliminary hearing on July 15.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Sunday, Dyango Zerpa launched his Facebook page as a candidate for Milwaukee County Supervisor in the 12th District. Zerpa officially filed his candidacy in May to run for Milwaukee County Supervisor.

Zerpa stated on May 4th, the day of his birthday, "I'm excited today to announce that I have filed my Declaration of Candidacy for 12th District County Supervisor. I was fortunate enough to have some close friends and family awaiting me when I came outside. From my years of experience working for this very district in various capacities, I am excited for the opportunity to prove my committment to my neighbors and community."

Zerpa is currently the legislative aid for Wisconsin State Assembly Representative Sylvia Ortiz-Velez (D) in the 8th District who is also the current Milwaukee County Supervisor in the 12th District.

Zerpa also worked as a legislative aid in the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors and was assigned several Supervisors including Ortiz-Velez.

Zerpa was the campaign manager for Ortiz-Velez when she ran twice for the Milwaukee County seat and was reelected.

Ortiz-Velez on May 4th also stated, "It takes a lot to run.. Excited to see Dyango Zerpa file for his candidacy to be the next 12th District Milwaukee County Supervisor.  With his experience and knowledge of the issues I know the 12th will be in very capable hands."

Eugene McLaurin Charged By Feds With Felony Shooting Assault Of 2 ATF Special Agents And A Chicago Police Officer

Chicago, Illinois - On Thursday, the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois filed a federal criminal complaint in the United States District Court Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division allegeding that Eugene McLaurin, 28, of Chicago intentionally shot and wounded two federal agents and a task force Chicago police officer in Chicago on Wednesday morning.

McLaurin is charged with one count of using a dangerous and deadly weapon to assault several special agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).  The charge is punishable by a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.

McLaurin appeared in federal court on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. before U.S. Magistrate Judge Heather K. McShain.  

The complaint was announced on Thursday by John R. Lausch, Jr., United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois; Kristen deTineo, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Field Division of ATF; and David Brown, Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department.  Valuable assistance was provided by the Illinois State Police.  The government is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Elizabeth Pozolo and Jared Jodrey.

According to the complaint, two ATF agents and an ATF Task Force officer were driving in an unmarked law enforcement vehicle early Wednesday morning while participating in a federal investigation on the South Side of Chicago.  The officers noticed that a white Chevrolet Malibu sedan was following their vehicle, and they took note of the license plate number, the complaint states.  The driver of the Malibu pulled alongside the officers' vehicle, and the officers observed the driver's side window roll down, the complaint states.  A man later identified as McLaurin began shooting at the officers' vehicle, wounding all three officers, the complaint states.

After the shooting, law enforcement located the Malibu parked on a street in Chicago, the complaint states.  McLaurin was taken into law enforcement custody later Wednesday morning.

The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing and McLaurin could face additional federal felony counts.

James Solages, A U.S. Citizen Among Foreign Mercenaries Arrested For The Assassination Of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse

Solages and five other suspects pretenting to be DEA agents infiltrated the Haitian President Moïse's residence and killed him and wounded his wife, Martine Moise, according to Haitian authorities.

Port-au-Prince, Haiti - On Wednesday, Haitian President Jovenel Moïse, 53, was assassinated on early Wednesday at his presidential residence by at least 15 heavily armed assailants dressed in all black assault gear including Olivier Gertan, Joseph Vincent, a U.S. Citizen of Haitian descent and James Solages, 35, a U.S. Citizen of Haitian descent from South Florida who were taken into custody, according to Mathias Pierre, Haiti's minister of elections and inter-party relations. Four other suspects were killed in a confrontation with police on Wednesday night. Nine more assailants are being sought by authorities. 

13 of those arrested are from Colombia and are former army military veterans. 11 of the suspected assailants were taken into custody by Haitian police at the Taiwan embassy compound, the Taiwan officials at the embassy confirmed.

Four Colombian suspects were identified as Alejandro Girardo Zapata, 41; John Jairo Ramirez Gomez, 40; Victor Albeiro Pinera Cardona, 40, and Manuel Antonio Groso Guarin, 41.

Haitian authorities say that the group of assailants had falsely posed as U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents to gain entry to Moise's presidential residence.

Bocchit Edmond, the Haitian Ambassador to the U.S. reported that the assailants in the assassination were foreign mercenaries and professional killer who pretended to be U.S. DEA agents that were well financed to carry out their objective.

Edmond also says that the assailants had helped from inside Haiti and are investigating to learn who mastermind and financed the assassination plot.

Solages was the chief commander of body guards for the Canadian embassy in Haiti.

Update: Haiti's National Police confirmed on Friday that at least 19 suspects have been arrested since Wednesday and 17 are from Colombia and 2 are U.S. Citizens with Haitian descent.

Hit-and-run Suspect In Milwaukee Sought After Rear Ending Vehicle And Then Striking Light Pole Igniting Auto On S. Cesar E. Chavez Drive On July 3rd, Three Reported Injured

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Saturday, July 3rd, around 10:53p.m. Milwaukee police responded to a hit-and-run crash that resulted with three victims reported with non-life-threatening injuries after a suspect going Northbound at an excelerated speed rear ended their vehicle at the 1000 block of S. Cesar E. Chavez Dr. in the Southside of Milwaukee. The suspect's vehicle lost control after striking the rear end of the victim's vehicle and then struck a pole. The suspect exited the the vehicle and fled on foot. The suspect's vehicle was then engulf in flames.

Police reported that three victims were injured, a 49-year-old woman driver, two passengers, a 77-year-old woman and a 7-year-old boy.

A video surveillance camera from Rivera's Western Wear caught the accident on sound video footage. Alejandro Rivera, the owner of Rivera's Western Wear posted the video on his personal FB account. 

When contacted by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) on Tuesday, Rivera released the hit-and-run video to HNNUSA and said that to many people are driving carelessly and are speeding along S. Chavez Drive causing accidents, which in a prior incident, his wife's van was slightly struck as she made a left turn from the Northbound lane into a parking lot and another vehicle going in the same direction tried to pass her on the left side, which was the Southbound lane as the suspect headed North and didn't stop.

The video released by Rivera has his own voice report in Spanish about the multiple vehicle accidents and crashes along S. Chavez Drive that have been recorded by his outdoor surveillance camera.

5-year-old Marshall Daniel Svenson Reported Drowned On July 2 At Annie's Campground LLC In Gresham, Wisconsin, Campground's Facebook Page Uses Death To Promote Vacancies

5-year-old Svenson was pulled from the campground water pond by young teens and was later declared deceased at a local hospital.

Gresham, Wisconsin - On Friday, Marshall Daniel Svenson, 5, of Pulaski was reported decreased and the preliminary cause of death was accidental drowning. Svenson's death occurred around 8:23p.m. at Annie's Campground LLC's swimming water pond located at W125505 Roosevelt Rd. in Gresham located in Shawano County, according to the Shawano County Sheriff's Office. Svenson's body was pulled from the campground's pond by some teens and life saving attempts were unsuccessful by first responders and campers at the scene.

Svenson was taken to a local hospital where he was declared deceased.

On Monday, the Annie's Campground LLC Facebook (FB) page posted, "This post is intended for Lovers of Freedom, who believe in God, who are helpful to others and who are supportive of the Truth. Know that Little Man is in a much better place filled with the Loving Arms of our Lord, Jesus the Christ. Ann Marie Retzlaff, 52, aka, "Annie" of Gresham, the owner of Annie's Campground LLC, also a known Trump MAGA (Make Amerikkka Great Again/Keep Amerikkka Great) supporter received a backlash (more than 247 comments) on her campground's FB page alleging that she was using the boy's death to promote vacancies at the campground on Monday. FB users claim that Retzlaff was heartless, insensitive, atrocious and also called her a disgusting and terrible human being.

Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) reported on May 27th that the campground page had posted that "We reserve the right to refuse service: No commies, thieves, illegal substances, antifa, blm or other terrorists. Safety is our #1 goal," which drew controversy. 

Also on May 17, 2021, the Shawano County District Attorney's Office filed multiple felony charges against Retzlaff, 52, aka, "Annie" of Gresham in connection with a traffic stop violation and fleeing from deputies from Shawano on May 15. Retzlaff was charged with one felony charge for vehicle operator fleeing/eluding officer, two felony counts for 2nd-degree reckless endangering safety and one misdemeanor count for resisting/obstructing an officer.

If convicted, Retzlaff is facing up to 3 years and 6 months in prison and up to $10,000 in fines for fleeing an officer and up to 10 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines for each felony count of reckless endangering safety. A $1,500 bond was set for Retzlaff. She was released on a signature bond.

She has a preliminary court hearing scheduled for August 13, 2021.
