End The 2 Justice System At Milwaukee County DA's Office, 32-days Have Passed And No Charges Yet In The Dvontaye L. Mitchell Homicide At The Hyatt Regency Hotel

Milwaukee County District Attorney John T.  Chisholm has decided not to run for reelection and the Milwaukee County DA's Office seems to practice a 2 justice system in the County, one for Whites and one for people of color, which is justice delayed, according to attorneys representing the Mitchell family.

July 30, 2024

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday, the three attorneys, Ben Crump, William Sulton and B'ivory Lamarr representing the Dvontaye L. Mitchell family during a press conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel say that the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office is practicing a 2 justice system, one for Whites and one for people of color (Blacks). The White justice system provides quick justice for White victims and the people of color justice system provides justice delayed, which is justice denied for victims. The attorneys wants the  Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office under John T. Chisholm, the current District Attorney to practice an equal justice system where both Whites and Blacks victims are equally served justice.

In the homicide case of Dvontaye L. Mitchell, 43, no criminal charges have been filed against four suspects (Hyatt Regency/Aimbridge Hospitality employees), two Whites and 2 Blacks that held Mitchell down after he was brutally beaten with a metal baton on the head by Hyatt security guard Todd A. Erickson, 59, who held Mitchell down with his knee on the neck and another unidentified White worker who placed his knee on Mitchell's back and two arm pressing him down allegedly suffocating Mitchell to death. Another suspect was identified as Herbert Williamson, 52, a Hyatt Regency bellhop who held Mitchell's right arm down.

Attorney Sulton confirmed that there were more than 4 people involved. (1) off duty security, (2) hotel guest, (3) on duty security, (4) front desk manager, (5) bellman, (6) front desk agent, (7) 2nd on duty security, and more.

Attorney Sulton says that the Milwaukee County DA's Office is waiting for Mitchell's toxicology tests from the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office to determine what led to Mitchell's homicide (preliminary ruled as a homicide), but there is enough video footage evidence for probable cause, including the suspects statements to police, in order to charge all those involved with his murder. But the Milwaukee County DA's has not charged the suspects pending the outcome of the Medical Examiner's toxicology test investigation results. Sulton confirmed that the Milwaukee County DA's Office has charged others in non-related cases with criminal charges for probable cause when the investigation is ongoing, but in Mitchell's homicide case,  the family has yet to see any criminal charges filed against the murder suspects after 31 days.

Sulton also says, that some of the Hyatt/Aimbridge Hospitality employees were fired, but those in management that gave orders to hold (detained) Mitchell are still employed at the Hyatt. They should all get fired and criminally charged including a hotel guest that was involved in Mitchell's homicide, according to the three attorneys and Mitchell's family.

The Mitchell's family and activists seeking justice for Dvontaye L. Mitchell vowed to continue to seek justice everyday, until all the murder suspects are criminally charged for Mitchell's homicide.

Milwaukee County residents should hold Milwaukee County District Attorney Chisholm and the Assistant DA's accountable for blatantly practicing the 2 justice system in the County, which is definitely discriminatory and unconstitutional towards people of color. Attorney Crump says, if it would have been a Black killing a White victim, the Black individual would have been quickly charged with a homicide. The practice of a 2 justice system in Milwaukee County needs to stop and justice should be served equally.

The Mitchell family also says, that indoor videos leading to the Dvontaye's murder have not been released by the Hyatt Regency Hotel or the DA's Office including the Milwaukee Police Department.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Sunday, several Potawatomi Hotel & Casino security for the Outdoor Amplified Stage denied access to Hispanic News Network U.S.A.  (HNNUSA) to video and photo record Mexican accordion singer Ramón Ayala as hundreds at the VIP Standing section were recording and snapping close-up photos.

HNNUSA as a courtesy asked the security at the Amplified Stage VIP Pit Standing section, if we could get close access to Ayala's live performance, but a female security personnel when asked, denied access to HNNUSA after she notified the head of security by hand radio and he said, that HNNUSA could be allowed to take videos and photos from any area at the Amplified outdoor stage area, but was not allowed to get access to the VIP Pit Standing section without a valid wristband. So, HNNUSA decided not to record any video or photos of the Ayala live performance for public news coverage.

Ayala is set to retire soon and his current concert tour could be his last.

Also, reporting that on Sunday, the Ayala live concert bombed, in other words, the Amplified outdoor stage area was about a 1/4 full (less than 2,000 Tejano America Fest enthusiasts attended), according to estimated head count attendance by HNNUSA.

On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the attendance was much less and the VIP Pit Standing section was opend to those attending after 6:30 p.m., it seems that the 2-day Tejano America Fest 2024 bombed (failed to attract thousands of  Grupo Duelo, Jennifer Peña, Bobby Pulido, South TX Homies,  and Ramón Ayala fans) over the weekend.

The Tejano and Mexican groups contracted by Potawatomi and who performed live over the weekend at the Amplified Stage are well known and carry a large fan base.

Oregon Wisconsin - The Wisconsin Department Of Corrections (WIDOC) website shows that the Aurora Weier's convicted killer, Angel Luis Santiago, 73, who was convicted in 1987 for 1st-degree murder for the November 4, 1985 homicide of Aurora Weier, 45, will be eligible for parole on March 1, 2025 (inmate #00176643). Santiago is currently incarcerated at the Oakhill Correctional Institute (OCI) in Oregon, Wisconsin, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Santiago who was sentenced to life in prison with five years extended incarceration, in 2001 finally confessed to a reporter while being incarcerated at the Prairie Correctional Facility in Appleton, Minnesota that he (sniper) fatally shot Weier with a rifle from across the street as she was walking with her 7-year-old son into a Latino community center known as the Enrichment Center that was later renamed the Aurora Weier Educational Center, an alternative high school for Latino youths at N. Richards and W. Center Streets in Milwaukee.

Santiago who was then the Director of the United Youth Federation apparently became distraught that Weier was an emerging Latina leader and was successful in getting funding for the center. Santiago had experienced deficit funding issues in his organization.

Weier was originally from Panama who saw a need for Latinos to get educated in the Holton Latino and Puerto Rican neighborhood.

"Gordiloca" Priscilla Villarreal Treviño Won't Be Placed On November 5, 2O24 Laredo City Council Election Ballot, Failed To Register As A Voter In District 4, 30 Days Prior To Candidate Deadline Filing

Villarreal Treviño confirmed that she won't appear on the City of Laredo Council District 4 Election ballot because she failed to change her voter registration application 30 days prior to submitting a candidate for City Council, District 4 application, according to City and Texas Election code. Villarreal Treviño says that she will be a write-in candidate for District 4 in November 2024.

July 26, 2024

Laredo, Texas - On Friday, Priscilla Villarreal Treviño, 39,, aka, "Gordiloca" was notified by the City of Laredo Secretary Mario J. Maldonado Jr. that her ballot application review for City Council, District 4 showed that she failed to be registered at the district she applied to run for the City Council seat at least 30 days before the deadline for filing as a candidate expired. According to the City Attorney Doanh "Zone" T. Nguyen, Villarreal "Treviño is ineligible to file for a place on the City of Laredo election ballot for City Council, District 4, for the November 5, 2024 general election. Public records conclusively demonstrate that Ms. Treviño will not be registered to vote in District 4 by the filing dateline."

In mid February, Villarreal Treviño announced that she was a candidate for City Council, District 4, but did not change her voter registration to District 4 at the time. If she would have change her voting address shortly after, Villarreal Treviño would definitely be on the ballot for the City Council general election in November 2024.

Villarreal Treviño applied on July 22, 2024 to be place on the election ballot as a candidate for City Council, District 4, with the Office of the City of Laredo Secretary. The Texas Election code 141.001 (6) requires for a registered voter (candidate) running for a territory, to be registered from which the office is elected. The voter registration application in the territory takes 30 days to become effective. Villarreal Treviño's eligibility to vote on District 4 becomes effective 2 days after the candidacy filing deadline of August 19.

Villarreal Treviño was registered to vote at City Council, District 8, since November 4, 2022, but she later registered to vote at District 4 on July 22, 2024, which the deadline filing date for her City Council candidacy to be placed on the ballot for City Council,  District 4 is on August 19, 2024, the filing deadline.

Villarreal Treviño was 2 days over of the 30 days required as a registered voter for District 4, making her ineligible to vote on District 4, because she will still be a registered voter for District 8 on August 21, 2024, which is 30 days to be eligible to vote on District 4. In other words, on August 19, she would still be considered a registered voter for District 8, and on August 21, she would then be considered a registered voter for District 4, thus keeping her from the August 19 filing dateline to be place her on the ballot for City Council, District 4.

Villarreal Treviño, who is known for her foul/explicit language, on Friday on her Gordiloca News Laredo TX Facebook page confirmed that she will run as a write-in candidate instead for the City Council, District 4 seat. If she doesn't get elected on November 5, she plans to move to San Antonio, Texas in January 2025.

The following candidate will appear on the November 5, 2024 General Election ballot for City Council, District 4, is Ricardo Garza, 61, and Villarreal Treviño is running as a write-in candidate, according to the City of Laredo Secretary's Office.
