Legal Action Warning Exposed Over Facebook Viral Post Depicting Latinos for Trump (MAGAs), Which Outed Eric Zuniga, A Member Of The Latino Chamber Of Commerce Of Dane County

The Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County seems to be distancing from a former employee and a member who appeared on a group photo of Latinos for Trump supporting and holding Goya Food products amidst a national boycott against the company and its CEO Unanue for praising Trump last week at the White House.

Madison, WI - On Saturday, Janelle Pérez, a Madison area activist posted a photo on her Facebook (FB) account that she shared from Mario Moreno Fuentes depicting a group of Latinos for Trump (LFT/MAGAs- Make America Great Again/Keep America Great) from Wisconsin supporting and holding Goya Food products during an event at Fiesta Cafe on July 15 in Milwaukee amidst a national boycott that was sparked after Robert "Bob" Unanue, the CEO of Goya Foods praised Trump at the White House last week, has now sparked some controversy involving the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County (LCC). Pérez claimed on her FB post that Eric Zuniga from Madison who appeared in the LFT/MAGAs group photo was affiliated with the LCC. According to corresponding FB posts in the matter, Zuniga used to be employed by the LCC  in 2017 to November 2018 and his marketing digital business Ipsum, LLC showed the same address as of the LCC Chamber due to an incubator program at LCC, which business space was rented to Zuniga. Zuniga is still a registered member of the LCC, but he hasn't been involved with Chamber activities since last December. He graduated from the incubator program as a small business owner and is no longer in the program, according to an LCC source.

Apparently, Jessica Cavasos, the CEO of the LCC sent a warning notice of intent by messenger to Pérez and threatened to take legal action against her within 24 hours, if she failed to publically correct a false statement that mentions "the Latino Chamber of Commerce as supporting Eric Zuniga's political views and partisan activities." In contrary, Pérez disputes Cavasos' claim and updated that Zuniga was affiliated with the LCC instead.

Cavasos in a inbox messenger response posted publicly by Stephanie Ugalde on her FB account on Sunday confirmed that Cavasos stated, "Eric is no longer employed by the LCC as he once was and we have decided to part ways because of his affinity to a party that doesn't represent or help our current progression."

Pérez also posted on her FB, "I never attacked the Latino Chamber of Commerce on my post about Eric. I only informed our community about the two faces he's shown us and the spaces he is considered a leader and occupies as well. This has concerned many of the people in our community. Especially our undocumented friends and families.'

"We cannot have leaders who say they're for our undocumented community and turn his back to support Trump. It is very dangerous to have these individuals in our spaces and community. 

"If you want to continue to support individuals like this, then I wouldn't consider LCC as non-partisan. Especially when working with undocumented folx. 

"They have a lot of work to do instead of trying to turn this back on me. Let me remind you he outed himself by taking this picture and I just so happen to share it. 

"PS- Why are they so fast to defend someone like him too though?"

Pérez also confirmed that a GoFundMe account was created to raise funds for a legal defense, "As you know I was threatened that legal action would be taken out me  for my recent posts on speaking up and protecting my community. I am not the only one who may face additional legal threats as this moves forward. I am part of a collective called "Madison Mujeres Al Frente" and our goal is to fight for the concerns and answers our community is demanding. This non-partisan non profit is not engaging in meaningful dialogues and rather claim that we are attacking them and trying to shut us down."

"To protect ourselves and continue to fight for the community, we would like to continue under the advisement of an attorney so we are ready and prepared to fight for the long run."

Eric Zuniga is not employed by the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County, nor is he serving in any volunteer capacity. He is a member of the LCC, a non-partisan organization that does not use political affiliation is not considered as part of membership criteria. His political views are his own and not the LCC’s views. The LCC is a pro-Latino organization that does not support kids in cages, the deportation of undocumented immigrants and the separation of families.

Milwaukee, WI - The Frank Nitty and Samuel Alford mural was reported vandalized at the 1300 block of W. Vliet Street. The mural depicts images of multiple male and female African-American activists and community leaders in the social justice and Black Lives Matter movement.

Members in the African-American community are shocked to wakeup to a vandalized mural depicting local community Black leaders and organizers.

Nitty (birth name Frank Sensabaugh) in his Facebook account responded that it did take long for someone to deface his image in the mural and that it really doesn't bother him. Nitty posted on his FB account, "I want everyone to know...I'm not hurt at all by this....I'm not hurt by any of the attacks on me.....things like this can't affect me, I don't have the space to process it, or think about myself at this time.....people have real problems and we need real change and everyday I wake up and my life's goal is to do that....that's the only thing that I can concentrate on.....it's not about murals and awards, holidays and accomplishments...it's not even about my personal life anymore....I don't have one...my life is dedicated to the people..."

Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales Contemplating Resignation Before The Milwaukee Fire & Police Commission Terminates His Contract

Morales has failed to hold his police officers accountable for misconduct, illegal acts, filing false police reports and murder of unarmed people of color.

Milwaukee, WI - According to police department sources, Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales met with the rank and file this week and is contemplating his resignation ahead of Monday's meeting with the Milwaukee Fire & Police Commission (MFPC), which multiple sources including the Milwaukee Police Association has indicated that Chief Morales's contract will not be renewed and will be terminated by the Commission. 

Other rank and file police commanders are also planning to retire, while many police supervisors and officers are leaving the department as well due to public and daily protests that have created pressure to bring about accountability, transparency and reform within the department.

On September 23, 2019, multiple police officers from police district station 2 assisted rogue U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a frivolous arrest of undocumented immigrant Jose Alejandro De la Cruz-Espinosa, 38, in the Southside of Milwaukee. Police offficers after arresting De la Cruz-Espinosa, turned him over to ICE agents at the scene without a federal warrant signed by a judge. Chief Morales later testified that ICE agents had an active federal warrant and that De la Cruz-Espinosa would be arrested anyways. Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) learned that Chief Morales mislead the MFPC and that ICE agents didn't have a valid federal warrant signed by a judge as Morales falsely indicated but, ICE agents had an Administrative ICE warrant signed by an agent, which is deemed worthless and invalid to arrest an undocumented immigrant at a private home or property such as inside a vehicle.

Also, Chief Morales failed to hold accountable the officer or supervisor that released a police video of an interview of a known suspect, which revealed the name of a sexual assault victim. Apparently, it was later reported that Chief Morales was attempting to protect the suspect who was nominated to join the Board a Police Fund organization.

Chief Morales has also failed to follow Mayor Tom Barrett's recommendation to terminate Milwaukee Police Officer Michael Mattioli, 32, who was charged with the chokehold murder of Joel Acevedo, 26. Chief Morales has claimed that he does not have the authority to fire Mattioli, but in September 2018, Morales fired Erik Andrade, a police officer for posting a racist post on his personal Facebook account directed at Sterling Brown, a Milwaukee Bucks player who is African-American. Police Officer Andrade was involved in brutal arrest of Brown at the Walgreens parking lot at S. 27th Street and W. National Ave. on January 26, 2018 in Milwaukee.

Apparently, Chief Morales has practiced a double standard by firing Police Officer Andrade for posting a racist comment about Sterling on social media and not firing an off-dury Police Officer Mattioli who murdered Acevedo at a house party on April 19, 2020 hosted by Mattioli with the use of a chokehold for ten minutes. Two other suspects that helped Mattioli hold down Acevedo during the chokehold have not been charged in the homicide. Mattioli was charged with 1st-degree reckless homicide after three weeks of the murder.

The Acevedo family has filed for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to release the 911 call and police officers body camera video footage from Mattioli's chokehold incident. Morales has denied the release of the video.

Officer Mattioli has been suspended with pay from the Milwaukee Police Department, according to the MFPC.

Milwaukee, WI - On Tuesday, Victor Huyke and Yussef Morales, the organizers announced that the Puerto Rican Family Fest committee had decided to cancel the August 2, 2020, 8th annual festival event due to the increase of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the state and Milwaukee. The festival is now being planned for next year 2021, according to the organizers.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett on Tuesday signed the MKE Cares' Act, a citywide facemask ordinance unanimously passed by the Milwaukee Common Council on Monday making it mandatory for restaurants, bars and private business owners including operators to enforce the use of a facemask while in a public and indoor setting. Those business owners in violation will be fined between $50 to 500 and could have their business licenses revoked by order the City of Milwaukee Health Department.

Mayor Barrett confirmed that since March 13, 2020 when the first COVID-19 case was reported in the City, over 11,000 COVID-19 infection cases have now been reported in the City of Milwaukee, also over 14,000 Milwaukee County COVID-19 cases have been reported with 360 deaths and 37,906 positive COVID-19 cases reported in the State of Wisconsin with a total of 826 deaths as of Tuesday.

Barrett also said that the State of New York has added Wisconsin on their quarantine list, which those Wisconsinites traveling to NY would have to self-quarantine for two weeks when entering the state. Milwaukee nor Milwaukee County and Wisconsin have yet to implement such a quarantine list to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus into our City and state by visitors or travelers from other states with increased COVID-19 infections.

Black And Brown Lives Matter Joined To Seek Justice For Joel Acevedo's Homicide In Milwaukee

Members from the African-American and Latino/Hispanic communities seek Justice for Joel Acevedo who was held in a chokehold for at least 10 minutes by off-duty Milwaukee Police Officer Michael Mattioli at a house party hosted by the officer.  Mattioli has been charged with 1st-degree reckless homicide, two other suspects involved haven't been charged with Acevedo's death, which the Acevedo family is also seeking charges to be filed against the suspects. Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, people gathered at the Milwaukee County Court House, Justice for Joel Acevedo rally seeking police accountabilty for the misconduct and murder of unarmed victims of color by police and law enforcement.

The parents of Acevedo have requested for police body camera video of the incident where off-duty Milwaukee Police Michael Mattioli killed Acevedo after applying a chokehold while two witnesses helped including one that just stood by as they waited for police response to Mattioli's residence in the Southside of Milwaukee.

The Acevedo family is calling for the two individuals that helped Mattioli to hold down Acevedo to be also face criminal charges for Acevedo's homicide as well.

According to Voces de la Frontera (VDLF), the Acevedo family has filed for a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to acquire a 911 recording and the body camera footage to be released to the public. Off-duty Milwaukee Police Officer Mattioli "put Joel in a chokehold for at least 10 minutes," according to VDLF.

The protesters seeking Justice for Joel Acevedo marched from the courthouse  to Acevedo's mural at S. 6th St. and W. Greenfield Ave. in Milwaukee. "We're all truly blessed, at the same time, to have a leader like President Trump who is a builder." I've known many vendidos during my career, and heard about many more, pero tu te tragaste la olla carajo! What the hell were you thinking?

Trump, a builder?  He may build hotels, but he destroys lives.  Are you not aware of the human crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border? Are you not aware of the thousands of Latino families Trump has separated and destroyed? Are you not aware of the thousands of innocent children, including infants and toddlers, who were put in cages after being taken away from their parents? Are you not aware that now those children may possibly have to live the rest of their lives never seeing their parents again? Are you not aware of the thousands of asylum seekers whose applications are being rejected by his judges, effectively condemning them to torture and death when they return home? Are you not aware of the 2.5 million DACA recipients, TPS and DED beneficiaries he is trying to deport? Are you not aware of the 20 million people, of whom 11 million are Latinos, who could lose their healthcare insurance, in the middle of a pandemic, if the Supreme Court rules in Trump's favor? Are you not aware of the hundreds of thousands of Latinos infected by the coronavirus because of his mismanagement? Are you not aware of the tens of thousands of Latinos killed by the virus because of his indifference? Are you not aware that Trump is a white supremacist who managed to unite enough bigots, racists, and anti-immigrant xenophobes to elect him President? Are you not aware that your so-called builder abused the powers of his office enough to get himself impeached? If you believe Trump's a builder, eres un menso!

Only people who value profit more than human life would feel blessed to have Trump as their President. But your millions of consumers, predominantly Latinos, people who value life more than money, do not feel similarly blessed to have Trump as President. Al contrario, es un demonio!

You can call the backlash you have brought on yourself "suppression of speech" if you want, but you've earned a national rebuke and boycott of your products. You weren't wrong to accept Trump's invitation, but what you said was wrong. Words have power … and consequences. You had every right to say what you did, but what you said was just plain wrong. Your remarks hurt millions of Latinos who have suffered greatly because of Trump's policies and treatment. They are the very Latinos who have made you rich, and you will pay for what you said. In November, Trump will pay for what he has said and done. BOYCOTT GOYA!

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Saturday, four African-American community activists, Vaun "Van" L. Mayes, Khalil Coleman, Frank Nitty (birth name Frank Sensabaugh) and Tory Lowe were honored and each received a State of Wisconsin Citation from Wisconsin State Senator Lena C. Taylor (D), members from the State Senate and the Wisconsin Legislative Black Caucus during the People's Cookout, Unity for the Community one-day event hosted by Madeline Brigantti at Mitchell Park in Milwaukee. 

Mayes received his State Citation for his community activism, being a role model and speaking the truth, providing a voice for those who are voiceless and is a recognized leader in the Black Lives Matter movement.

Coleman received his State Citation for his community activism, being an author, role model and a community organizer in Milwaukee, which he empowers Black and Brown girls and boys by books that he has authored. He is also a leader in the Black Lives Matter and the Donte Hamilton social justice protest and other movements.

Nitty received his State Citation for community activism, being a role model and leading marches against police misconduct, helping families and providing a voice for peace and justice. His leadership in organizing diverse groups has led to gradually push for change and policy reform, including dialogue for accountability for Milwaukee police officers and other law enforcement officers accused of misconduct.

Lowe received his State Citation for community activism and being a role model who serves his community through journalistic advocacy and fights for victims, including victims of loss, injustice, crime, abuse, and marginalization. Lowe as a leader in the Black Lives Matter is also a voice for those suffering from social injustice and other issues affecting the African-American community.
