Zerpa, the former Assembly Legislative Assistant to Wisconsin State Representative Sylvia Ortiz-Velez was terminated for misconduct.

Madison, Wisconsin - On Thursday, Wisconsin State Representative Sylvia Ortiz-Velez (D-MKE) confirmed that former Assembly Legislative Assistant Dyango Zerpa who previously worked for Rep. Ortiz-Velez had been terminated by the State on July 18. Rep. Ortiz-Velez released the following statement to Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA), "Mr. Zerpa was terminated by the state for misconduct connected with his work after a full investigation. The State recommended termination action, and I supported the state's decision to terminate Mr. Zerpa."
According to sources, Zerpa claimed compensation for certain days and hours he was not actually working at Rep. Ortiz-Velez's State Assembly 8th District Office in Madison.
No further information was made available.
Zerpa, is also the current Milwaukee County Supervisor for the 14th District in the Southside of Milwaukee.
