Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, Martin Aurelio Martinez Rodriguez, 55, pled guilty during a plea court hearing and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 30 for the January 11, 2022 hit-and-run death of Donniesha Harris, 20, at the 3200 block of 108th Street near W. Oklahoma Ave. in West Allis.
Martinez Rodriguez is facing up to 25 years in prison and up to $100,000 in fines when he is sentence on August 30, 2022 in Milwaukee County.
Martinez Rodriguez on January 11 was driving a gray Toyota Corolla registered to him and struck Harris as she and a friend crossed the street after getting off a bus. Harris was walking to work. Martinez Rodriguez fled the scene after striking Harris, but was arrested later that day after police received a tip where Martinez Rodriguez's vehicle was located. Martinez Rodriguez's vehicle front end damage and missing parts were consistent with auto debris found at the hit-and-run scene, according to the criminal complaint.
