Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, Martin Aurelio Martinez Rodriguez, 55, was sentenced to 12 years in prison, with 8 years incarceration and 4 years of supervision for the January 11, 2022 hit-and-run death of Donniesha Harris, 20, at the 3200 block of 108th Street near W. Oklahoma Ave. in West Allis.
Martinez Rodriguez was also ordered to pay a restitution of $15,400.27 payable to the Crime Victim Compensation Fund.
Martinez Rodriguez on January 11 was driving a gray Toyota Corolla registered to him and struck Harris as she and a friend crossed the street after getting off a bus. Harris was walking to work. Martinez Rodriguez fled the scene after striking Harris, but was arrested later that day after police received a tip where Martinez Rodriguez's vehicle was located. Martinez Rodriguez's vehicle front end damage and missing parts were consistent with auto debris found at the hit-and-run scene, according to the criminal complaint.
