After 65 years, the owners of Maria's Pizza finally closing their business, which will leave a huge void of one of the best tasting pizza dishes in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Sunday, June 26, 2022, Maria's Pizza will close due to retirement by the staff and ownership. Maria's makes the most tasty thin crust pizza rectangular pies in Milwaukee.
Maria's Pizza celebrated their 65th Anniversary this year.
Maria's Pizza original owner Maria Traxel, opened the pizza business in 1957 at the 600 block of W. Greenfield Ave. in Milwaukee for many decades until 1971, when Traxel opened a second Maria's Pizza on W. Forest Home and by 1993, the two Maria's Pizza businesses consolidated into one and remained at the Forest Home location.
Traxel's daughters Bonnie Crivello and her sister, Micheline Story continued to operated the pizza business until 2006 when Micheline passed away.
Micheline's daughter, Maria Story then became a co-owner with Crivello who have worked as waitresses at the Maria's Pizza located in the 5100 block of W. Forest Home Ave..

If you haven't tasted Maria's Pizza rectangular pies, you haven't tasted the most succulent pizza in the Midwest. The pizza rectangular pies are made available in 14" and 18".
Multiple customers heard that Maria's Pizza was closing this Sunday and many began to order their pizzas over the weekend and when they went to pick their pizza pies up, Maria's Pizza staff confirmed that the business is closing. The news of Maria's Pizza closing on Sunday was posted on social media when it was confirmed and it went viral.
