State Democrats have submitted the Healthcare Protection Package bill to the Wisconsin State Assembly Speaker for consideration.

Milwaukee, WI - On Thursday, State Representative Daniel Riemer (D-Milwaukee), Citizen Action of Wisconsin Executive Director Robert Kraig and consumers with personal health stories gave testimonials of personal and family members health pre-existing conditions, which the proposed TrumpCare bill that passed in the U.S. House of Representatives would definitely eliminate any healthcare coverage for those with pre-existing conditions allowed under the Affordable Care Act, known as ObamaCare. At least, 24 million people including those with pre-existing conditions would lose healthcare coverage, if the ObamaCare is repealed.
The Healthcare Protection Package (HPP) bill proposed by Democrats aims to shield and allow for state residents with pre-existing conditions to continue to be covered, according State Representative Riemer. Riemer says, the HPP was submitted to the State Assembly Speaker's office to be considered and get a legislative bill number, which is expected by Friday.

The joint press conference and testimonials took place in front of the former Assurant Health headquarters and a copy of the HPP bill was hand delivered to Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson's office by the joint group.
