Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, Milwaukee police responded around 2:15 p.m.to a 911 call for a shooting at the 3400 block of W. National Ave. in the Southside of Milwaukee. When police arrived they found Ladda Donsanouphith, 49, with multiple gunshot injuries to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Later in the afternoon, at the 1000 block of N. 26 Street, Bounlanh Souvannasane, 62, shot himself in the head when police were closing in on him, in relation to the 3400 block of W. National Ave. homicide investigation. Souvannasane died at 5:57 p.m. at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, according to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office. Souvannasane was the suspect sought for the homicide of Donsanouphith in the Southside of Milwaukee.
Both Donsanouphith and Souvannasane had a domestic relationship (ex-boyfriend), which Donsanouphith was a single mother raising three male children. She was known to be very friendly and made her friends laugh and smile when she was present at events in the Laotian community in Milwaukee.
No further details have been released by police.
