West Allis, Wisconsin - On Saturday, Derrick L. Williams, 36, was charged with 1st-degree intentional homicide and use of a dangerous weapon in connection with the death of Phoenix O'Ryan Castanon, 19, originally from Eager, Arizona who was training to become a Navy Gunner's Mate at the Great Lakes Naval Station in Illinois.
A $100,000 cash bond was set for Williams. If convicted, Williams is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole.
According to the criminal complaint, on early May 8, 2022, around 2:41 a.m., Castanon was with some female friends in the area of S. 84 Street and W.
