Milwaukee, WI - The first appointed Cónsul, Julián Adem Díaz de León will head the new Consulate of México in the City of Milwaukee. Cónsul Díaz de León confirmed on Tuesday that the Mexican Consulate will begin operating in June 15 and will have 23 staff members to provide services by appointment to about 150 Mexican nationals per day. Cónsul Díaz de León is already working at the Mexican Consulate in the city. Limited parking will be available at the Consulate and will be open from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Mexican Consulate in Milwaukee is the first to open in the state and is located at 1443 N. Prospect Ave.
Today, there are approximately 260,000 in population of Mexican origin in the state, which is 75% of the total Hispanic population in Wisconsin. The Consulate of Mexico in Milwaukee will serve Mexican nationals from 53 of 72 counties in Wisconsin and 12 of 83 counties from state of Michigan.
