Brown Deer, Wisconsin - On May 25, 2021, Lisa Hernandez, 52, was charged with one felony count of 1st-degree reckless endangering safety with use of dangerous weapon and domestic abuse, and two misdemeanor counts for operating a weapon while intoxicated and disorderly conduct with domestic abuse in connection with the May 21, 2021 shooting around 9:03p.m. at the 4600 block of West Deer Run Drive in Brown Deer.
If convicted, Hernandez is facing up to 12 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines for the felony count; 9 months and $10,000 in fines for operating a weapon while intoxicated and up to 30 days and $1,000 in fines for disorderly conduct.
A $500.00 cash bond was set for Hernandez and she is expected at a court preliminary hearing on June 10, 2021.
Hernandez got into an argument with her boyfriend at her apartment and took out a handgun and shot him. In return, the boyfriend took out his weapon and shot multiple shots striking a wall inside the apartment.
The boyfriend was struck in the leg and was hospitalized. Hernandez admitted to police that she shot her boyfriend after repeatedly arguing with him.
Hernandez also began to strike her boyfriend for calling 911 and another individual in the apartment had to get her off the injured boyfriend.
No information was released, if her boyfriend is facing any charges for firing his weapon inside the apartment, according to the criminal complaint.
