Milwaukee, WI - On Monday, April 27, 2020, at approximately 10:38 a.m., the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) received a call for police services from a suspect that was later identified as Christopher P. Stokes, 43, who stated his family was dead. Upon officers' arrival, they discovered 5 deceased victims at a home in the 2800 block of N. 12th Street. Stokes, the caller was identified by relatives and is believed to be the suspect who was taken into custody at the scene by police, according to Milwaukee Police.
A weapon was recovered at the scene. Also, a toddler was found alive inside the home and is doing well.
The victims were identified as:
• Demetrius R. Thomas, 14-year-old male
• Tera R. Agee, 16-year-old female
• Lakeitha M. Stokes, 17-year-old female
• Marcus G. Stokes, 19-year-old male
•Teresa R. Thomas, 41-year-old female
This investigation is active and still ongoing.
Multiple homicide charges are pending against Stokes in the upcoming days. If convicted, Stokes is facing five consecutive life terms in prison without the possibility of parole.
Stokes is a convicted felon.
