Milwaukee, WI - On Friday, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett confirmed that he has nominated Attorney Griselda Aldrete to become the next executive director of the Fire and Police Commission. Aldrete's nomination will be taken up by the Milwaukee Common Council. The current salary range for the executive director of Milwaukee Fire & Police Commission for City of Milwaukee residents is $103,841-$145,382 and is a Mayor's Cabinet position, according to the job position City posting. Aldrete is bilingual and speaks English and Spanish.
Aldrete was crowned Miss Mexican Fiesta in 1998 and is a former employee of UMOS and was a popular writer for the AquĆ Magazine, which was created by the Milwaukee Journal and sold to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of WI for $1.00 and she is the current President and CEO of Hispanic Professionals Of Greater Milwaukee, a non-profit organization.
