Apparently, Neumann-Ortiz and VDLF believes that it is OK for Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele to endorse Judge Rebecca Dallet who is a candidate for the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Dallet, who is White to accept Abele's endorsement and his funded Leadership MKE to support some candidates, but it is not OK for Leadership MKE to advertise in favor of Ortiz-Velez instead of her opponent who Neumann-Ortiz supports. What Neumann-Ortiz and VDLFA doesn't want the community to know is that Leadership MKE is an independent expenditure committee, which some local labor organizations have funded as well to support certain cadidates without their cooperation or consent.
Ortiz-Velez has not accepted no donations or contributions from Abele or Leadership MKE, which Neumann-Ortiz would like the Hispanic voting block to believe by her false claims.
Neumann-Ortiz and VDLFA held a press conference on Monday with Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-Milw.), State Representative JoCasta Zamarripa (D-Milw.), Kim Shroeder, President of the MTEA and Dave Weingrod of AFT 212 who support Dallet, even if she has accepted Abele's endorsement and Leadership MKE's advertising against Dallet's opponent, but reject Ortiz-Velez simply because she is a Latina candidate getting favorable advertising from Leadership MKE without her cooperation or consent, which her opponent who Moore, Zamarripa, Schroder and Weingrod support, shows the hipocresÃa/hypocrisy by these group who seem to support VDLFA's false claims against Ortiz-Velez.
The Spring Election is on Tuesday, April 3.
