Deceased Shooter At Molson Coors Beverage Co. Allegedly Complained To Management Of Racist Act Against Him Before Getting Fired

Racist taunting by employees targeting an African-American employee might have led to five employees being fatally shot including the shooter at the Molson Coors Beverage Company formerly known as MillierCoors.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Wednesday, Milwaukee police, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, Milwaukee Fire Department, Marquette University Police and multiple other law enforcement agencies including the ATF and FBI responded to an active shooter around 2:08 p.m. at the Molson Coors Company formerly known as MillerCoors at the 4100 block of W. State St. in Milwaukee. During an afternoon press conference Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales confirmed that five employees at the company were fatally shot and the 51-year-old suspected shooter who was found with an apparent self-inflicted wound. 

The deceased shooter was identified on Facebook as Anthony Ferrill who worked at MillerCoors/Molson Coors for more than 20 years and is an African-American who was terminated from Molson Beverage Company earlier in the day, according to sources. Police have also identified the shooter as Ferrill.

The victims were identified by police as Jesus Valle Jr., 33; Gennady Levshetz, 61; Trever Wetselaar, 33; Dana Walk, 57, and Dale Hudson, 60.

Multiple Facebook posts indicated that racism by employees at Molson Coors might have triggered the multiple fatalities.

According to a Facebook post by Tony Muhammad, "The shooter at Millers Coors is reported to suffer racial discrimination and harassment from white co-workers. He recently filed a civil lawsuit against Miller Coors's racist work environment. The racist white co-workers had hung a hangman noose on his locker. He was rehired after the lawsuit five years ago. The white racist male harassment continue when he returned to work at Miller Coors." 

"The racist white co-workers this time humiliated the 51-year-old African American male by pasting spade cards on his work locker and making his workday unbearable with white male racist antics. 

"The Brother evidently was forced over the edge of sanity to make a violent and act to end Miller Coors workforce racist harassment. Perhaps with this most recent reported incident of workforce white male racism against African American Miller Coors in the City of Milwaukee will make fair and equal employment for all a matter of private and public policy... Miller Coors has a long history of tolerating its white brewery worker racist behavior and acts against Black brewery workers."

Muhammad also posted on Facebook, "One of my sons was wrongfully fired due to white racists coworkers and supervisors racial targetting him. The other two quit because of the hyper-white racism practiced at Miller Coors. Our young people do not have faith and rightfully so that filing employment discrimination complaints with the DOL, EEOC or State ERD will change the white racist outcomes in the American workforce! And it has not changed this nation practice of employment racism impact on Black Americans the past 55 years."

Police have not released any information or confirmed during their preliminary homicide investigation, if racism targeted at the shooter by unidentified employees at Molson Coors was the motive that led to the firing of the shooter on Wednesday for allegedly reporting a racist act against him to management that later led to the shooting spree.

At a press conference, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett stated, that the multiple shooting was a cowardly act and hopes it never repeats again. 

According to APNews, a lawsuit was filed in 1994, "Three former employees of Miller Brewing Co.'s plant in Fulton, N.Y., allege in a lawsuit that employees were subjected to racist name-calling and harassment...The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in New York, seeks class-action status, which would give attorneys the right to represent as many as 500 black people who have worked at the plant." Three previous legal actions were taken by Black employees before the lawsuit was filed in 1994.


Update: Employees from Molson Coors Beverage Company who did not want to be identified have come forward with allegations and confirmed that some White employees would say the N-word around Black employees and placed "Nooses" at areas where Black employees worked and at or near their lockers area and they (Whites) made the work place a "toxic racial work environment", which the company management might have tolerated, even when Black employees complained to management, according to news reports.  The Molson Coors Beverage Co. management has not confirmed or denied the racially toxic work environment allegations raised by employees reported by media sources. The mainstream media have taken up interest in the toxic racial work environment issue at the company and have began to ask questions.  Police have become aware of the toxic racially motivated work environment at the company from allegations raised in social media as well when it was first reported by Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

Roland H. Buck Jr. posted on his Facebook account, "To answer the reporters question yesterday about the miller shooting. She asked what was the shooters motive? Don’t get me wrong my condolences goes out to all individuals involved. This man has been harassed harassed and harassed on his job. He came to work one morning and had noose hanging on his locker. This informed come from a person that works with him everyday. He went to management and they did nothing about it. So he took actions into his hand and he got fired. They pushed that man to a breaking point. The blood is now on miller’s hand. A sad Occasion all the way around."

Letter posted at Tory Lowe dot com website from Jelani Muhammad says that he recently quit Molson Coors Beverage Company to save his own life from a hostile racially work environment that he almost considered suicide...

Dear Tory Lowe,

I was an employee at Molson Coors for 4 years. I recently quit to save my life. The harassment, and hostile work environment I was exposed to almost made me lose my mind. I worked closely with all the individuals involved. Usually when we are being harassed at Miller we are isolated from other black workers. I was in the meeting when management talked about the noose and other situations of racial discrimination that were continuously swept under the rug.

Many black employees were subjected to racist rhetoric, treated less then second class citizens. I even considered suicide due to being emotionally subjected to being harassed in a racially charged work environment. I want the people to know the truth about what goes on inside Miller Coors. I'm hoping that situations like the recent shooting were 6 people lost their lives will never happen again. The people need to know what was really going on.

Krueger, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced in a press release that federal charges were filed against 24 defendants associated with a violent drug trafficking organization in Milwaukee known as the Buffum Meinecke Boys.

A federal grand jury returned an indictment charging fifteen of the defendants with conspiring to distribute 1 kilogram or more of heroin, at least five kilograms or more of powder cocaine, at least 280 grams or more of "crack" cocaine, and greater than 50 kilograms of marijuana.  If convicted of this conspiracy charge, those 15 defendants face a mandatory minimum term of 10 years in prison.  One of the co-conspirators, Victor Gonzalez, was also charged with unlawful possession of 37 firearms.  Nine other defendants were charged with distribution of heroin or cocaine or illegally possessing firearms.       

On February 25, 2020, federal, state, and local law enforcement officers arrested 17 of these defendants in a coordinated enforcement operation.  Throughout the course of the investigation, officers recovered over 900 grams of heroin, over 150 grams of a mixture containing fentanyl, 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, 20 kilograms of marijuana, almost $300,000 in U.S. currency, and 53 firearms. 

"Every Milwaukee resident deserves to live in a secure neighborhood, free from groups who wield guns and pedal dangerous drugs," said United States Attorney Krueger.  "This joint law enforcement action is another example of our unwavering commitment to fight gun violence and drug trafficking.  I commend the excellent law enforcement cooperation, led by the FBI, to build this case."

FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert E. Hughes stated "The FBI, with its partners, stand committed to reducing the negative impact of gangs responsible for gun violence, illegal drugs and homicides.  Working together, we are dedicated to making Milwaukee a safe place to live, work, and enjoy all our city has to offer."

"The Milwaukee law enforcement agencies continue to show our resolve by working together to investigate and prosecute violent drug organizations like the Buffum Meinecke Boys.  The residents of Milwaukee deserve to live in neighborhoods free of drug related violence, and this investigation is another step to provide that freedom," said DEA Milwaukee District Office Assistant Special Agent in Charge Paul E. Maxwell, Jr.

The defendants were charged based on joint investigation by law enforcement officers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Southeastern Wisconsin Gang Task Force, the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD), the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, the IRS-Criminal Investigations, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.  This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Laura S. Lucas J. Alvarado Fatally Shot By Milwaukee Police After Brandishing Handgun While Fleeing In The Southside Of Milwaukee

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On early Monday, Lucas J. Alvarado, 27, was fatally shot by Milwaukee police officers after he brandished a handgun while fleeing the scene of a reported shooting. Alvarado was pronounced death near the 1500 block of S. Union Street shortly after 1:07 a.m. on February 24, according to police.

Police had responded to a SpotSpotter alert around 1:04 a.m. on Union Street in the Southside of Milwaukee and when in the area, they noticed Alvarado who fitted the updated description of a suspect armed with a gun sought in the shooting. The officers told Alvarado to stop and to remove his hands from his pockets, but Alvarado disregarded the officers commands and fled from the scene. The officers pursued Alvarado while giving him commands to stop and to remove his hand from his pocket, but Alvarado then brandished a gun at the officers and the officers fatally shot Alvarado. A hand gun was recovered by police at the scene where Alvarado died.

The three officers involved ages, 31, 30 and 24, in the fatal shooting were placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of the investigation by the Greenfield Police Department who is leading the officer involved shooting investigation, according to Milwaukee police. 

90-page Ethics Board Complaint Submitted By The Milwaukee Police Association Claims That Milwaukee F&P Commissioner Steven M. DeVougas Failed To Report Alleged Earned Income

The Milwaukee Police Association President Dale Bormann Jr. in a 90-page notarized complaint to the Ethics Board claims that Milwaukee Fire & Police Commissioner DeVougas could have earned income as an attorney representing the Haywood Group LLC and did not disclosed his earnings in his City of Milwaukee Statement of Economic Interests filings for multiple years.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Tuesday, Dale Bormann Jr., the President for the Milwaukee Police Association sent a 90-page complaint to the Ethics Board of the City of Milwaukee claiming the Milwaukee Fire & Police Commission (F&PC) Chair Steven M. DeVougas had failed to report alleged earned income in multiple City of Milwaukee Statement of Economic Interests report filings for 2018 and 2019. Bormann also claimed that DeVougas represented Kalan R. Haywood in an alleged Milwaukee Police Department sexual assault criminal investigation, which a female victim claimed that Haywood sexually assaulted her. DeVougas apparently committed a conflict of interest in that incident because he was a F&PC Commissioner, but told detectives that he was there to just accompanied Haywood while being interviewed by detectives for the alleged sexual assault, according to Bormann.

Third allegation, DeVougas and another F&PC Commissioner Crocoft appeared on WNOV radio  in December 2019 and discussed F&PC business in contrary to Open Meeting laws. Fourth, DeVougas hasn't released any information in his Statement of Economic Interests on whether he holds a financial interest with the Haywood Group LLC, formerly Vanguard or Vangard.

If the Ethics Board finds that DeVougas violated ethics laws, the case will be referred to a Steering Committee for review and investigation.

The Lowriders, Custom Cars, Motorcycles and Trucks Birthday Bash Cruise (LCMT) will help celebrate the 16th Birthday of Emanuel Monge, who is a Lowrider enthusiast and has been diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma, (a bone, muscle and fat tissue cancer), which was discovered in his system in September 2012 at the age of 12.

A doctor's diagnosis says that Monge's cancer is located in his blood and the survival rate is 5% or less that affects his ribs, lungs and bloodstream. 

Monge has five sisters ages 4, 13, 19, 20 and 21. He attended Atlas Preparatory Academy and previously attended La Causa day including La Causa Elementary and Middle School. 

Adriana says, that the response by the Lowrider, motorcycle and truck community to participate in Monge's LCMT has been awesome and Monge's personality and character has touched everyone.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Friday, CBS 58 News confirmed what Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) first reported (broke the story) that a neighbor of three murdered victims had called 911 to report a domestic violence incident next door, but Milwaukee police apparently didn't respond to the scene until hours later. Nine days later, the murdered victims were identified as Amarah J. Banks, 26, and both of her daughters, Camaria Banks, 4, and Zaniya R. Ivery, 5, and the murder suspect was identified as Arzel Ivery, 26.

CBS 58 News reported that the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) has refused to release the response time by police officers to the domestic violence 911 call that involved the deceased victims and the suspect until the triple homicide trial ends. The neighbor who called 911 posted in her Facebook account, that if police would have responded sooner, the victims might have been alive today.

The lack of transparency by the MPD to release the cops response time to the domestic violence incident until the trial ends does indicate a possible coverup, which might show that the neighbor was right, police officers didn't show up at the scene until hours later (at least 6 to 8 hours later). Multiple mainstream media outlets previously reported that when the 911 call was initially made, police officers arrived 9 minutes later, but left the scene, since they couldn't locate the complainant at the time.

What does the cops response time have to do with the trial?, since it is public record and the public has a right to know how long did it take police officers to actually respond to a domestic violence 911 call, especially in the African-American community where the Milwaukee Police District Station 5 is located.

Also, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, the Milwaukee Common Council and the Milwaukee Fire & Police Commission have not commented about the allegations raised that it took Milwaukee cops multiple hours to respond to the local domestic violence 911 call.

During last Sunday's press conference, 

Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales stated that there was no indication that foul play was in play, but the neighbor (witness) of the murdered victims did tell the 911 operator that the suspect was beating the victim and had heard pleas for the suspect not to kill the victim, which the Ivery criminal complaint states. The Ivery criminal complaint mentions a 911 call, but it doesn't indicate, if police officers ever responded, a coverup by MPD?

Ivery was charged with three felony first-degree intentional homicide charges and if convicted, he is facing three life sentences in prison without the possibility of parole.

(HNNUSA) attempt to get a statement about its direct link connection to the Wisconsin Latino MAGA (Make America Great Again/Keep America Great/Latinos for Trump) fake Facebook page, which was created to promote hate and Nazi propaganda in order to raise campaign funds for the reelection campaign. The Latino MAGA fake Facebook page has become a hub for state MAGAs who are actually identified by name, including their supporters and allies in Wisconsin targeting Latino activists and members of the Latino community in Milwaukee, which is a strong Democratic and Bernie Sanders for U.S. President stronghold and the epicenter of the 2020 Democratic National Convention in July.

Also, the Republican Party of Wisconsin has yet to respond to HNNUSA inquiry about the Latino MAGA fake Facebook hate page connected to the Trump reelection campaign.

It is not known and it has not been reported by the Trump reelection campaign on its federal election campaign finance reports, about how much campaign funds the Latino MAGA fake Facebook page in Wisconsin has raised for Trump, since it was created by several MAGAs including an associate who was the former Hispanic Outreach Director of the Republican Party of Wisconsin in 2019 and the current director for No Better Friend, Corp., an alt-right lobbying group that promotes Conservative policy in the state.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - The Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) and Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales are under fire for a lack of quick response to a domestic dispute 911 call by members of the African-American community after a missing mother, Amarah J. Banks, 26, and both of her daughters, Camaria Banks, 4, and Zaniya R. Ivery, 5, were found deceased eight days later at a Milwaukee garage. A neighbor of the deceased woman posted on her Facebook (FB) account, "If MPD would have responded to my 911 call, that lady and her daughters would still be here.."

Apparently, the neighbor says that she was awaken when she heard a domestic dispute next door and immediately call 911 to report it, but police didn't respond immediately until much later when the victims first went missing, they have been missing since eight days ago on February 8th.

An Amber alert was cancelled on Sunday, a day after it was activated by MPD. Police Chief Morales confirmed on Sunday that the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner is conducting a triple homicide investigation and the identities of the three victims found deceased in a garage are Banks and her two daughters, according to police.

A triple murder suspect, Arzel Jermaine Ivery, 25, the father of one of the young girls, Zaniya was taken into custody in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday by police and was booked in the Shelby County Sheriff's Department jail for being a fugitive from justice. Ivery confessed to the homicides in Milwaukee and led Milwaukee police to the whereabouts and location of the victims bodies, which were recovered at Arzel's residential Milwaukee garage at the 4700 block of W. Burleigh St. apartment complex.

On Saturday, the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office filed a felony charge against Ivery for aggravated battery and a warrant was was issued for his arrest. Ivery's homicide charges are pending, according to MPD.

Banks and her daughters disappeared a day after she buried her infant son who had died of medical complications and she was suppose to meet up with family members for brunch, but she and her daughters never showed up. Arzel is also the father of the deceased infant child.

During a press conference on Sunday, Chief Morales stated that domestic violence in the City of Milwaukee is an issue, it's not just a police department problem, it's not just a District Attorney's Office problem, people want to put the blame on the police department, this is a systemic problem going on for generations, I think we all have to look back and see how we are going to curve domestic violence in our community...you see that people blame the police department for these deaths, that's unfair, uncalled for and unwarranted. Chief Morales also said that last year in 2019, about 20% of the shootings and homicides were related to domestic violence and that it will take leadership and the community to come together and funding to deal with the issue.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin - On Monday, Nicasio Cuevas Quiles III, 45, was found guilty for two felony counts, for theft-false representation of more than $10,000 and bail jumping involving at least 25 victims including businesses. Cuevas Quiles remains in state custody for four prior felony convictions in January 2018 for failure to pay child support. He was sentenced to 12-years in prison, which includes 4-years in prison and 12-years probation.

Cuevas Quiles will have a sentencing hearing on April 17, 2020 for the latest felony convictions, he is facing 10-years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines for felony theft-false representation including party to a crime and 6-years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines for felony bail jumping, and up to 9-months and $10,000 in fines for misdemeanor bail jumping, according to court records.

In other prior incidents, Cuevas Quiles established the Latin American Motorcycle Association Nomads (LAMA-Nomads) in Florida and attempted to trademark (TM) the Latin American Motorcycle Association (LAMA) named without authorization after the original LAMA motorcycle group based in Chicago, Illinois created 41 years ago by Mario Nieves failed to renew its trademark name with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Cuevas Quiles was a fomer member of LAMA, but left the group and tried to take its name after the original LAMA group rejected Cuevas Quiles proposal to video document the LAMA 40th Anniversary Celebration, according to former associates involved in the video project. He boasted to original LAMA groups in Florida that he owned the trademark, but when Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) investigated, he did not owned the LAMA named as he claimed and his lawyer from Minnesota who filed the trademark application for Cuevas Quiles removed himself for lack of contact with Cuevas Quiles and the trademark filing was placed on hold and no action was taken. The original LAMA group in Chicago refiled its Trademark with the USPTO and once again secured their trademark.

Also, On August 8, 2016, a Milwaukee County court judgement of $340,838.00 was granted for Urban Skyline Investment Company LLC against Riverwest Holdings LLC, which Cuevas Quiles operated.

In September of 2015, a Milwaukee County court judgement of $25,668.25 was granted to ATID Investment LLP against Cuevas Quiles and Mind Mill Creative LLC, according to Milwaukee County Court records.

In July 2015, a Milwaukee County court judgement of $11,192.03 was granted for the City of Milwaukee against Cuevas Quiles.

Other judgements in Milwaukee County showed that in at least 18 cases resulted in a combined total of $39,898.47 against Cuevas Quiles, according to court records.

On September 12, 2016, Cuevas Quiles filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Open Letter: Queers Against Pete Buttigieg's Candidacy For President

Members of the LGBTQIA have come forward to challenge Buttigieg candidacy for President due to his lack of standing up for his own LGBTQIA community.

South Bend, Indiana - Former  Mayor Pete Buttigieg, a Presidential candidate for the Democratic nomination for U.S. President is facing a LGBTQIA movement 'Qeers Against Pete' for his lack to address certain issues affecting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex and Asexual (LGBTQIA) community in South Bend. Buttigieg is openly Gay and is married to his male partner.

As the Mayor of South Bend, Buttigieg failed to address issues affecting the LGBTQIA community and members have launched a campaign labeled 'Queers Against Pete', and have released an open letter explaining their opposition to Buttigieg's candidacy for President.
In 2010, Buttigieg ran an unsuccessful campaign for Indiana State Treasurer and also spoked at a Teaparty event, which drew a backlash from constituents.
Also another group in Facebook against Buttigieg, which has more than 17,000 members claim that he is an imperialist, corporate puppet and should have run as a Republican for President due to his policy stands.

Queers Against Pete Open Letter:

Dear fellow members of the LGBTQIA community,

This election cycle we will be presented with plenty of options. Up and down the ballot, candidate's stances will impact us, our families and communities. If we've learned anything from our ancestors and transcestors, it's that we must speak out…and act up. This primary election is one such example. 

There has been much talk about identity and diversity in the race to win the Democratic party nomination for president. Some have touted former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg's openly gay identity as proof of progress in our politics. However, being gay is not enough to earn the support of LGBTQIA communities. 

We cannot in good conscience allow Mayor Pete to become the nominee without demanding that he address the needs and concerns of the broader Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) communities. While many see different issues in silos, we are clear that LGBTQIA people are directly and disproportionately impacted by police violence, incarceration, unaffordable healthcare, homelessness, deportation, and economic inequality among other things. 

Mayor Pete is leaning on the support and actively courting the LGBTQIA community, but has shown time and time again that he is out of touch, not fit to be President of the United States, and simply falls short. 

• Mayor Pete opposes free universal free public college and does not support cancelling student loan debt; 

• Mayor Pete has no plan to restore the right to vote for all formerly and currently incarcerated people, create an alternative to police, or end cash bail; 

• Mayor Pete has not addressed the concerns related to Eric Logan, a Black South Bend resident who was shot and killed by a white police officer. Furthermore, while in office, Mayor Pete refused to release the police tapes relating to the demotion of Darryl Boykins, the first Black person to serve as police chief. We echo the demands of Black Lives Matter - South Bend to create a Citizens Review Board and for the release of the tapes; 

• Mayor Pete has not said if he would support a moratorium to end deportations or that he would decriminalize border crossing; 

• Mayor Pete opposes complete Medicare for All and universal childcare;

• During his tenure, Mayor Pete demolished homes of many South Bend residents who were unable to afford repairs and drastically ramped up unfair fines;

• Mayor Pete does not support boycotting for political reasons;

• Mayor Pete has no plan to cap credit card interest rates or guarantee a job to everyone who needs one; and 

• Mayor Pete supports the increase of defense spending which is already 50% of the federal budget.

These gaps in Mayor Pete's platform will fall particularly hard on LGBTQIA communities. Take housing as an example: 40 percent of homeless youth are LGBTQIA. Nearly one-third of trans people have experienced homelessness, and one in ten have been evicted from their home for being trans. This is only exacerbated by the fact that there is no federal law that consistently protects LGBTQIA individuals from housing discrimination. And while Mayor Pete, like the rest of the field, supports the Equality Act, this isn't enough. Public housing remains in disrepair in the U.S., with billions in backlogged repairs due to decades of underinvestment, and the changes Pete proposes are grossly inadequate relative to the scale of the problem, and will not solve our housing crisis. We need only look to Pete's track record of tearing down hundreds of homes in Black and Latino neighborhoods in South Bend to show us that he is not committed to protecting our communities.

As LGBTQIA people our lives are layered and must have an intersectional framework in our analysis, organizing, and movement building. We know that: Education justice is LGBTQIA justice. Racial and economic justice are LGBTQIA justice. Decarceration is LGBTQIA justice. Immigrant and refugee justice is LGBTQIA justice. Health justice is LGBTQIA justice. Housing justice is LGBTQIA justice. Demanding corporate accountability and for wealthy people to pay an equitable share of taxes is LGBTQIA justice. 

During this critical election, it's important that LGBTQIA people demand more from our leaders and from a candidate claiming to be in community with us. Leaders within our communities -- especially Black trans women --  have worked tirelessly over the past two decades to push LGBTQIA movements to value and fight for our full identities and experiences. We cannot afford to go backwards or accept the status quo. 

It is for these reasons and more that a group of us have come together under the banner of #QueersAgainstPete. If you agree, we invite you to add your name to this letter and join our collective voice against Pete Buttigieg's candidacy for president. We believe the LGBTQIA community deserves better than Pete.

On February 3, 2020, Pete Buttigieg came second on the Iowa Caucus elections while Bernie Sanders declared victory and won the popular vote with more than 6,000 votes than any other candidate and also won the final realignment Caucus vote with 2,500 votes.

Milwaukee F&PC Executive Director Griselda Aldrete Creates Emails For Commission And Will Receive Cellphones For Transparency

Milwaukee, Wisconsin  - On Thursday, Griselda Aldrete, the Executive Director of the Milwaukee Fire & Police Commission (F&PC) sent a letter to the Commission announcing that personal emails will be available to them with the F&PC including cellphones to keep in touch with Milwaukee residents contacting them concerning issues as a transparency solution, as she previously pledged to do. The Commission will have an option to use the emails and cellphones or any of them can decide not to opt-in to use the transparency source available to them.

It will be the first time ever that transparency in the F&PC has offered this type of venue for the Commission and the City of Milwaukee residents to use and contact the Commissioners dealing with fire and police issues.

Des Moines, Iowa – On Thursday, the U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders' presidential campaign celebrated winning the popular vote in the first and second round of the Iowa caucus and released publicly discrepancies in the State Delegate Equivalent data it submitted to the Iowa Democratic Party.

"Tonight's release of data by the Iowa Democratic Party confirms Sen. Bernie Sanders won the Iowa caucus," Sanders' Senior Advisor Jeff Weaver said. "We also feel confident that the discrepancies we're providing tonight, in addition to those widely identified in the national media, mean that the SDE count will never be known with any kind of certainty. Given the rules changes we fought for that required the release of the popular vote count, SDEs are now an antiquated and meaningless metric for deciding the winner of the Iowa caucus."

Below is the list of discrepancies in the State Delegate Equivalent calculations that were submitted to but not yet considered by the party.

14 instances for a total of 2.50383 SDE

Storm Lake 1 - Sanders down 1 delegate (.0785 SDE)
In this 7-delegate precinct, according to IDP data, Buttigieg's 1.974358974 was correctly rounded up to 2. However, Warren's 1.256410256, which was tied with Yang, was incorrectly rounded up to 2 despite Sanders' 2.333333333 being closer to 3. The correct allocation should be Sanders 3 delegates, Buttigieg 2, and Warren and Yang with 1.

Warren County Norwalk Precinct 1 - Sanders down 1 delegate, Buttigieg over 1 delegate (0.23333)
In this precinct, Buttigieg received an extra 3rd delegate after already rounding up to 2. Sanders, at third place with 1.346938776, should have received the extra delegate, bringing him to 2 alongside Biden and Buttigeig. The correct allocation should be Buttigieg, Biden and Sanders 2 and Warren and Klobuchar with 1.

Des Moines 7 - Sanders down 1 delegate, Buttigieg over 1 delegate (0.2798 SDE)
In this 9-delegate precinct, Sanders was at 4.826815642, Warren was at 2.463687151 and Buttigieg was at 2.664804469 before rounding. Sanders' 4.8 was closer to 5 than Buttigeig's 2.7 was to 3. Therefore, Sanders should have 5 delegates while Buttigieg has 2. 

Woodbury 6/Sioux City 6 - Sanders down 1 delegate (0.2125 SDE)
The 9 delegates in this precinct are not distributed properly. Before rounding, there is Sanders at 2.668965517, Warren at 2.110344828, Buttigieg at 1.675862069, Biden at 1.613793103, Klobuchar at 1.551724138. Two delegates must be lost after rounding everyone up. With 2.67, Sanders is closer to 3 than Biden is to 2 at 1.61 and Klobuchar is to 2 at 1.55. Sanders should have 3 delegates instead of 2, with Warren 2, Buttigieg 2, Biden 1, and Klobuchar 1. 

Ocheyedan - Sanders down 1 delegate (.1 SDE)
Each of the 3 candidates who reached viability in this 3-delegate precinct should have received a delegate. Before rounding, Sanders and Klobuchar were both at 0.6, which rounds to 1. However, Sanders was not awarded his only delegate, which instead went to Buttigieg as his second delegate. This should be reversed to make it Sanders 1, Klobuchar 1, and Buttigieg 1. 

Bellair/Lincoln - Sanders down 1 delegate (.08 SDE)
Each of the 4 candidates who reached viability in this 4-delegate precinct should have received a delegate. Before rounding, Sanders and Klobuchar were both at 0.6153846154, which rounds to 1. However, Sanders was not awarded his only delegate, which instead went to Biden as Biden's second delegate. This should be reversed to make it Sanders 1, Klobuchar 1, Biden 1, and Buttigieg 1. 

Sioux 6 Orange City 1 - Sanders down 1 delegate (.0875 SDE) 
The 10 delegates were misassigned following a rounding interpretation error. Second alignment had Klobuchar 15, Buttigieg 20, Sanders 23 and Warren 26. Before rounding, it was Klobuchar 1.61290, Buttigieg 2.15053, Sanders 2.47312 and Warren 2.79570. Warren was awarded a 4th delegate after rounding up to 3. Instead, that final delegate should have gone to Sanders, who was closer to 3 than Warren was to 4. The final count should be Warren 3, Sanders 3, Buttigieg 2 and Klobuchar 2. 

Guthrie Gold - Sanders down 1 delegate (.0857 SDE)
Before rounding, Biden, Klobuchar and Buttigieg were all at 2.93548 with Sanders at 2.48387 and Warren at 2.25806. Buttigieg was already rounded up to 3 when awarded a 4th delegate. Given IDP rules, that final delegate should have been awarded to Sanders after rounding up his 2.48 to 3 alongside Biden, Klobuchar and Buttigieg. Warren would still have 2.

Independence 2 - Sanders down 1 delegate (.1368 SDE)
Only 5 of the 6 delegates were awarded. After rounding, Biden recieved 3 delegates while Sanders and Klobuchar only received 1 each. Sanders' 1.2 is higher than Klobuchar's 1.09, so the last delegate should go to Sanders, making the final count Biden 3, Sanders 2, Klobuchar 1.

Adair 04 SE - Sanders down 1 delegate (.0784 SDE) 
The following has been corroborated with Adair County Chair Thadeus Hawley. All 10 delegates were awarded, but the distribution is incorrect. According to IDP data, the second alignment has Warren 9, Biden 7 and Sanders, Klobuchar and Buttigieg each with 6. However, Sanders receives only 1 delegate when the other two candidates at the same level received 2. Sanders, Klobuchar and Buttigieg's 1.7647 is closer to 2 than Warren's 2.6471 is to 3. Given this, each candidate should be awarded 2 delegates, including Sanders.

Muscatine 9 - Sanders down 1 delegate (.1667 SDE)
In this precinct, only 8 of the 9 delegates were awarded. According to IDP data, the second alignment has Sanders 44, Buttigieg 42 and Biden 26. This calculates to 3.5357 for Sanders, 3.3750 for Buttigieg and 2.0893 for Biden, yet Sanders and Buttigeg were both awarded 3 delegates and Biden awarded 2, with the 9th delegate never awarded. According to rounding rules, Sanders should be awarded the 9th delegate for a total of 4. Buttigieg would remain at 3 and Biden at 2. 

Des Moines 14 - Sanders down 1 county delegate (.2798 SDE)
In Des Moines 14, per IDP data, the second alignment left Buttigieg with 52, Sanders with 50, Warren with 31 and Biden with 25. This should have resulted in 2 delegates for Buttigieg and Sanders and 1 delegate for Warren and Biden. However, according to the information listed by the IDP, Warren was awarded 2 delegates while Sanders was awarded 1, despite having more caucusgoers. We ask for this to be reversed for a final count of Buttigieg 2, Sanders 2, Warren 1 and Biden 1.

North Liberty 6 - Sanders down 1 delegate (.405 SDE)
In North Liberty 6, the IDP lists second round results as Sanders 107 to Warren 105. The raw delegate total should have been 2.97 to 2.92 per the IDP data. However, the caucus chair decided to call this lead a tie and hold a coin flip, which landed in Warren's favor. In IDP rules, a tie is only when candidates have the same exact number. Per those rules, this result was not a tie and the delegate should have been awarded to Sanders, who had a larger number. Final count should be Buttigieg 4, Sanders 4 and Warren 3.

Des Moines 80 - Sanders down 1 delegate, Buttigieg over 1 delegate (.2798 SDE)
Only 9 of the 10 delegates in this precinct have been awarded with 2 for Biden, 4 for Buttigieg and 4 for Sanders. Before rounding, it is Biden 2.0, Buttigieg 2.75 and Sanders 4.2, which would round to 5 in a 10-delegate precinct. The chair decided there was a tie for the 10th delegate and called for a coin flip, that went for Buttigieg. There was not a tie and that delegate should be awarded to Sanders to make the final count Sanders 5, Buttigeig 3 and Biden 2 for a total of 10 delegates.
