Milwaukee, WI - On Sunday, Luz Sosa, the Latina Community Organizer for Acción Ciudadana de Wisconsin, the Hispanic Caucus for Citizen Action of Wisconsin, a progressive organization announced as part of a national day of action "Close The Camps" that they will hold a major protest along with Progressive Moms of Wisconsin to call on the U.S. Congress to close all of Trump's ICE concentration camps along the U.S.-Mexico border. The protest will start at noon on July 2 in front of the federal courthouse where the offices of federal legislators are located in Milwaukee, according to Sosa.
It has been reported by the mainstream media and watch group of attorney's that visited the camps that children held in "tent cities" also known as concentration camps are being treated inhumane and lacking the basic hygiene necessities (children have been denied toothpaste and soap)
prompting ICE to move some of the children to other detention centers after it was exposed that children were denied the basic hygiene needs. U.S. Department of Justice Attorney Sarah Fabian representing the Trump administration recently argued in a federal court that undocumented children held in camps are not entitled to certain hygiene necessities (soap, toothbrushes including toothpaste, beds) and etc. The federal judge thought otherwise.
BBC reported that in July 2017, US District Judge Dolly Gee found the Trump administration had breached the 1997 Flores agreement by not providing migrant children with appropriate food or hygienic supplies, housing them in cold facilities without beds.
Children are been held in crowded (over capacity conditions) sleeping in concrete without beds, children taking care of infants, children subjected to sexual abuse, harsh treatment, neglect and unsanitary conditions including lack of medical attention and treatment that have led to multiple deaths of undocumented children from Central America.
Under the Trump administration, 10 undocumented immigrants died in 2017 and 12 died in 2018, which the tally does not include the deaths of two Guatemalan children in Customs and Border Patrol custody and reported deaths for 2019. Jakelin Caal Maquin, 7, and Felipe Alonzo-Gomez, 8, died within weeks of each other in December. Nor does it include the March death of a 20-month old girl, Mariee Juárez, nearly two months after she was held at an ICE family detention center in Texas with her mother. Her mother is now suing the government, alleging neglect, NBC News reported.
Also undocumented Carlos Gregorio Hernández Vásquez, 16, from Guatemala died in May at a Texas detention center. Wilmer Josué Ramírez Vásquez, age 2; Juan de León Gutiérrez, 16; Alónzo-Gomez; and Caal Maquin, all died while being detained by ICE and were from Guatemala, BBC reported.

• Private corporation prisons do definitely benefit from the detention of undocumented immigrants by ICE, since the government pays between $133.99 to $200 per day to house an undocumented in a private prison. To hold an undocumented family, it costs at least $319 at a family residential center, according to the U.S.DHS.

• It cost taxpayers at least $775 a day to hold an undocumented child in a "tent city" or a Trump ICE concentration camp, according to HHS/NBC News.

Businesses Including Retail, Food Stores And Outdoor Festivals Should Post Public Signs That All Are Welcome And Give Notice That ICE Is Not Welcome To Conduct Immigration Raids Without Legal Warrants

Latinos, undocumented immigrants and allies should avoid shopping and spending their hard earned dollars at businesses, retail stores, outdoor festivals and places that don't welcome them or support Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

June 29, 2019

Washington, D.C. - On Saturday, Trump confirmed that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will shortly begin to roundup 100's of thousands of undocumented immigrants that have been ordered to exit the U.S. by immigration judges, which could extend to mix status citizens and family members. Latinos should avoid any business including outdoor festivals and music venues that don't have a public sign being displayed saying that all are welcome and ICE is not allowed to detain customers in the business or festivalgoers unless they have a valid federal warrant.
Being undocumented in the U.S. is a federal civil offense and not a federal criminal offense, that's why ICE uses ICE administrative warrants, which are deemed not legal unless a federal warrant is signed by a court judge.
If a business, retail store, a mega grocery store or neighborhood outdoor festival isn't displaying a posted sign that all are welcome and prohibiting ICE from detaining undocumented immigrants, avoid the festival, business or store and go shop at Latino businesses in your vecinity to support local businesses that support Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
Undocumented immigrants pay taxes and contribute millions of dollars to local economies including the County, state and federal governments.
Avoid Walgreen's, Uber, Menards, Walmart and other stores that support Trump, the GOP and use your dollars to finance through campaign donations to the state Republican Party, which is deemed anti-immigrant and is supporting a White nationalist agenda guised as Trump's MAGA campaign advocating hate, bigotry and division among Americans.

RED ALERT: Undocumented immigrants in the U.S. and especially in Wisconsin should stay away from outdoor festivals, Mexican dances and other large populated venues, since Trump's ICE is most likely to target venues with large Latino presence to seek out those undocumented immigrants targeted for removal including any relative or acquaintances that become victims and will be subject to arrest by ICE and subject for removal from the U.S.

Be prepared:

1. Don't open the door to ICE or anyone that has a Police label on their jackets unless they can provide a valid warrant naming a person that is wanted and signed by a judicial judge.

2. If you are in need of food supplies and other items, spend your money at neighborhood Latino businesses, grocery stores and avoid White corporate operated MEGA food stores, which are most likely to be targeted by ICE.

3. Begin an ICE neighborhood watch initiative with neighbors, if ICE or any federal government vehicle or a large law enforcement presence is in the neighborhood, notify all the neighbors in your network to keep a look out and alert those possibly being targeted by ICE.

4. If any massive ICE movement is noticed in an area, post it on Facebook and tag your friends to alert followers, so they can spread the word of an ICE presence.

5. Remember, some Trump ICE agents are rogues and intentionally lie and do violate federal laws, according to federal cases filed and also trespass in private properties illegally without warrants and should be dealt with as illegal intruders and should be video recorded (videos should be made public, video record faces of agents and vehicles used) and report illegal incidents to the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice.

6. Be safe, cautious and be aware of your surroundings to avoid unexpected stops by ICE.

7. Carry an immigration Attorney's emergency number to contact for any legal assistance and to learn your whereabouts for family notification of your location, if stopped and detained by ICE.

8. Spend your hard earned dollars where you are welcomed and where a posted sign is visible to the public confirming that ICE is prohibited from engaging in any type of raid in the property without a federal legal warrant signed by a court judge.

The Wisconsin DOJ Expected To Release The Death Results Of Humberto Suarez Soon, According To The Kewaunee County Coroner Rory Groessl

The Kewaunee County Coroner's Office says no indication of foul play suspected in the death of Suarez.

Kewaunee, WI – On Tuesday, Rory Groessl, the Kewaunee County Coroner confirmed that "no foul play suspected" in the death of Humberto Suarez, 28, whose body was located on April 5, 2019 seven days after his vehicle was found abandon near the same location in Kewaunee County. Groessl also wrote via e-mail, "The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is working on a release. I would anticipate it will be available soon", he also ruled out suicide or drug overdose, when questioned by Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA), if it was a murder investigation. The Suarez death case is certainly odd and speculation about his death has been circulating in the Latino community in Wisconsin after his family sought the mainstream media, social networks and other venues to seek help from the community to locate Suarez after he was reported missing.
Suarez's body was located following the discovery of an abandoned vehicle on Kadletz Road in Kewaunee, County, the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) reported.
According to the KCSO, on Sunday, March 30, 2019 a vehicle was found abandoned on Kadletz Road, approximately .5 miles from Highway 29. A search was conducted for the driver of the abandoned vehicle at the location and was not located.  The vehicle was towed to a Kewaunee tow lot at that time.
Seven days later, on Friday, April 5, 2019, the Milwaukee Police Department contacted Kewaunee Sheriff's Office regarding the missing owner of the abandoned vehicle. Kewaunee County Sheriff deputies returned to the scene and located Suarez's body beyond the previously searched radius.
An autopsy was conducted by the Kewaunee County Coroner and the Sheboygan Medical Examiner.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation and Wisconsin State Crime Lab Crime Scene Response Unit also assisted in the investigation at the request of Kewaunee County Sheriff's Office.
Suarez was last seen alive on March 29, 2019 and his family reported him missing afterwards.

Trump's Claim To Deport 1M Undocumented Is Definitely A Farse

Trump pulls another false claim and uses it to launch his re-election campaign for president as a Republican.

By H. Nelson Goodson
Hispanic News Network U.S.A.

June 24, 2019

Washington, D.C. -  Donald Trump (R) recently tweeted that he has postpone his order (directive) to have the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enforce immigration judges orders of deportation of at least 1 million of undocumented immigrants who have failed to exit the U.S. Trump issued his claim during his re-election bid in Florida in an attempt to make it sound that he was conducting a new mass sweep to deport undocumented immigrants and to fire up his racist and bigoted MAGA base. Well, it was certainly a farse and the mainstream media ran with it without realizing that it was definitely a faux (fake).
ICE continues to concentrate in doing its job by targeting the undocumented by locating, arresting and processing them for deportation on a daily basis. Whether Trump delays his directive to deport 1M of undocumented for two weeks, ICE will continue to do its job. Trump only capitalized on ICE's daily routine to locate and detain targeted undocumented for his political benefit and few with common sense realized it.
Former President Barack Obama, a Democrat deported millions and holds the U.S. record as Chief Deporter.

Facts:

• It costs taxpayers at least $10,864 to locate, arrest, process and deport each undocumented immigrant in the U.S. Do the math, if Trump wants to deport 1M undocumented, it will ultimately cost the taxpayer more than $10B, according to ICE.

• During the fiscal year on 2016, ICE spent $3.2B to deport 240,000 of 450,000 targeted for deportation, according to CNN.

•The IRS confirmed that between 50% to 75% of undocumented pay taxes and contributed at least $7B into the Social Security fund.

• At least 8M U.S. jobs are dependent on undocumented immigrants.

• Private corporation prisons do definitely benefit from the detention of undocumented immigrants by ICE, since the government pays $133.99 to $200 per day to house an undocumented in a private prison. To hold an undocumented family, it costs at least $319 at a family residential center, according to the U.S.DHS.

• It cost taxpayers at least $775 a day to hold an undocumented child in a "tent city" or a Trump ICE concentration camp, according to HHS/NBC News.

• The largest deportation was recorded in 2012, which ICE deported 409,824 of undocumented immigrants.

• ICE raids have claimed other mix status family victims with U.S. born children as well other than those targeted for deportation.

Finally, it would be more beneficial and cost effective for the American U.S. taxpayers to actually push for passage of a comprehensive Immigration reform bill with a path to U.S. citizenship for more than 11M of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. who are contributing billions of dollars into the economy and have become the backbone of our economic system that keeps America afloat and prospering in a competitive world.
Diversey is the key to making America great again.

Illinois Ogle County Sheriff's Deputies Took Undocumented Manuel Estrella To ICE Facility After Immigration Agents Failed To Pick Him Up At Jail After 24 Hours

Estrella was taken to an ICE facility by Ogle County deputies after ICE agents failed to pick him up after 24 hours simply for not having a valid driver's license and no lights on vehicle during a traffic stop.

June 23, 2019

Oregon, Illinois - On Wednesday, Manuel Estrella was stopped around 4:30 p.m. on a traffic violation for not having lights on a vehicle he was driving and was taken into custody by a Ogle County Sheriff deputy for not having a valid driver's license, according to his daughter Cintya Sanchez. Sanchez who contacted Hispanic News Network U.S.A. (HNNUSA) claims in her personal Facebook (FB) post that the Ogle County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) violated the Trust Act and is now criticizing Illinois Governor JP Pritzker (D) for not holding the OCSO accountable for violating the Trust Act.
Governor Pritzker recently announce that he would not allow police and County Sheriff's in Illinois to be an extension of ICE immigration enforcement and banned private undocumented children ICE funded detention centers in the state.
According to Sanchez, Ogle County Sheriff Lt. Jason Lynn, who is in charge of the County Jail and Sergeant William White violated federal law by not releasing her father when ICE agents failed to pick him up after 24 hours. Lt. Lynn apparently allowed for assigned deputies to transport Estrella to an ICE facility in Illinois after ICE agents failed to pick up Estrella.
Sanchez's posted on FB says, "...officials are not following the law. I am living proof. My father was incarcerated Wednesday around 4:30 for no "lights" and no DL. We paid BAIL ! He was supposed to be let go!! OGLE COUNTY CALLED IMMIGRATION ON HIM. OGLE COUNTY DETAINED AND HELD HIM, they BROKE the TRUST ACT. And then they said if AFTER 24 hours ice didn't come he would be let out. MORE then 24 hours passed and ice never came OGLE COUNTY TOOK HIM TO IMMIGRATION.

Lieutenant Jason Lynn and Sergeant William White did NOT COMPLY with the law. THEY REFUSED TO SPEAK TO US. Even when we had TWO LAWYERS.

You governor JB have done nothing for my people.

Please Share! Please spread the news. Please care. My family is in a million pieces."
According to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) website, no law enforcement agency including the Ogle County Sheriff's Department in the state of Illinois has no authorized 287(g) agreement with ICE to have their deputies or officers act like Immigration enforcement agents.
The OCSO has not posted any press release about Estrella's arrest on Wednesday for not having a valid driver's license compared to other arrests made during the week for not having a driver's license on its Website.

Ortiz was elected as Vice-Chair and Rebecca Arrichiello was elected as Secretary/Treasurer during the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (DPW) State Convention 2019 in Milwaukee. According to DPW, the newly elected Latino Caucus Officers for 2019-2021 "will have additional responsibilities beyond their normal Caucus duties to help with the Milwaukee 2020 DNC Convention."

Editors note: The DPW Latino Caucus and all of the Latinos and Latinas in elected office in the State of Wisconsin including County and municipal governments should unite in the effort to support instate tuition and driver licenses (permits, as a statewide driving issue for safe roads) for undocumented immigrants in the state that contribute more than $90M in combine taxes in Wisconsin per year and to advocate for Governor Tony Evers (D) to revoke and prohibit any state, county and municipal law enforcement agency in Wisconsin from entering into partnership with U.S. ICE under the 287(g) program, which is known today as a profiling and discriminatory program revamped by Trump to target Latinos and immigrant communities nationally. Also, the DPW Latino Caucus should bring Comprehensive Immigration Reform back into the spotlight during the Milwaukee 2020 DNC National Convention in order to advocate for other Latino Caucuses in the Democratic Party around the nation to join in the effort to pass immigration reform and to fix the broken down immigration enforcement system.

According to PEW and the U.S. Census in 2014, 72% of the 370,000 Latino population (6% of the total state population) in Wisconsin are U.S. born compared to 28%, which are foreign born, about 72% of Latinos are of Mexican origin and 28% are of non-Mexican origin. Latinos in Wisconsin make .7% of the Hispanic population in the U.S.
